Long-Haired, Jesus-Freaky People
Advocates for the shortening of men’s hair typically reference 1 Corinthians 11:13–15 as the basis for their position. In my humble opinion, Paul the Apostle does not appear to be making an argument on behalf of God in this passage; rather, he appeals to what is culturally proper (his appeal to nature also raises a red flag). Though perhaps his commentary is somewhat outdated, Cambridge explains that there were certain culturally-sensitive reasons for keeping one's hair either long or short, especially relative to the Corinthian lifestyle. Likewise, Hawker compares the issue to decency of apparel (which is the stance that I take). If Paul were writing to American Christians today, perhaps he would say, "Decide for yourselves: Is it proper for a pastor to lecture in jeans and a t-shirt? Although such casual dress may be considered acceptable under certain circumstances (such as a church picnic), I would hardly consider it proper, generally speaking, for an esteemed and respected leader among God’s people to present himself so casually.
There are at least two passages in the Scriptures which make it clear that, in reference to men, keeping one’s hair long is not intrinsically sinful in the eyes of God. The first is the Naziritic Vow (as I have come to call it), ordained by Yahweh himself in Number 6:1–21. God tells Moses in verse 5, “All the days of his vow of separation, no razor shall touch his head. Until the time is completed for which he separates himself to Yahweh, he shall be holy. He shall let the locks of hair of his head grow long.” The second instance is the proclamation of Samson’s life under the Naziritic Vow as ordained through a messenger of Yahweh in Judges 13:2–5. Both of these passages convey that, under a special circumstance, a male Israelite was not to have his hair trimmed. This does not imply that it is always proper or appropriate for a man to have long hair; rather, it implies that God does not consider long hair objectionable across all circumstances.
It just occurred to me that I’m exclusively attracted to men with long hair.  Like I’ve never been attracted to a single man with short hair.  Long hair is literally my sexuality
