Liam and Zayn are stuck in a closet, and music and art are the only places where they can speak about it openly.

In the last round-up vlog Liam described for the first time the NFT-character he created:

He said that the character can fly but he can't fly that at the moment because he's got locked in a cage.

Zayn has used the same concept in his songs.

In 'BRIGHT' Zayn sings about being confined in a cage:

"the cage I was in fell away when she asked me to dance again"

In 'River Road' Zayn continues to describe his locked state:

"stopped at the ceiling, all these years"

The only thing left is to watch the world outside:

"breeze outside my window turned to color"

But Zayn doesn't lose hope to get out of the cage:

"know that I will see the sun again"

In 'Calamity' the locked state is characterised as a prison:

"and in times like a prison state"

and this comparison had been used before in 'PILLOWTALK':

"prisoners then we're free, it's a thin line"

Liam's 'Lonely Bug' can't fly at the moment because of glass walls surrounding him but he'll fly again once he will be unlocked.

'Icarus Falls''s main idea represents falling due to burned wings but rising again despite the obstacles:

"I don't mind falling if it means to get to fly again"

In 'YELLOW METAL - cathartic' Zayn repeats the concept of not being able to fly because of gravity keeping them to the ground:

"gravity is there, and it kept us to the ground"

This line is a reference to John Mayer's song "Gravity" (it's a well-known fact that Zayn and Liam love John Mayer):

"gravity is working against me and gravity wants to bring me down"

After rapping that part, Zayn also sings a refrain from this song.

The main idea of the 'Lonely Bug' piece 'Always On' says

"It can often feel like the spotlight is always on. New challenges arrive from all angle, and you just can't rest."

'Better' music video illustrates the same motif. In the video Zayn is constantly watched and he can't sleep longer. All his movements are recorded from the moment he wakes up:

That music video represents not only the idea of being constantly watched and controlled, but it's also about being confided in walls. Zayn is locked. He can only watch the world outside standing behind glass walls, wishing to come out and finally be free.

'iT's YoU' music video embodies the same concept:

The crucial feature of 'Lonely Bug' - the locked state of the character. The bug got stuck in a glass box. He wants to be released but he can't be free for the time being:

Fun fact: Zayn has the unreleased song 'Dragonfly' which wasn't added to 'Mind of Mine'.

If you compare 'Lonely Bug' and a dragonfly, you can see that they both have two pairs of wings:

(since Zayn burned his wings, Liam did two pairs of them - one for himself and one for Zayn).

In one of his recent Instagram lives, Liam pointed out that the NFT-collection he created let him to say things he wouldn't usually say directly:

"you have to read between the lines".

Sure we do, Liam, don't worry.

My Policeman shooting is WRAPPED, for real this time it seems; both the book’s author and Emma Corrin said so, plus Harry was seen leaving Venice. Emma posted some real cute set pics with Harry and others (and edited herself into the end of shoot pics from Venice, HA). As mentioned, Harry was seen wrapping up his stay in Venice, and I do mean SEEN- with a huge crowd of fans on hand there are about one million pics of him loading his bags onto the boat and being motored away. He waved to the crowds and said hi and all that, and took a couple close up fan pics (but how did those particular fans out of so many get so lucky? by breaking into his hotel grounds, that’s how :/) and signed (and dated) some stuff. He looked real cute in white trousers and shoes and a very cool vintage-y shirt with his beloved blue bandana sticking out of the shirt pocket. Also in his hotel (but as paying guests, one assumes), Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry- Harry was seen hanging out in the hotel restaurant with them and playing with their wee tiny baby!

The Lonely Bug NFT sales are also a wrap (I think?? Still vague on the fine details of many parts of this operation...) At the very least we know that the fanciest of Liam’s 6 NFT packages (which included the dinner invite and other things) concluded its auction and it went for $122k! We don’t get to see Liam’s live reaction to the final number though, as that video was one of the things they were selling as an exclusive, but Liam posted a little video thanking everyone for everything throughout the big sale. He seems happy but anticlimactic for us huh? Will the big spenders who now own the art and rights to it show us more or simply hoard it like intangible toilet paper in a theoretical pandemic, I guess only time will tell. Whether or not they share, we certainly haven’t heard the last of the Lonely Bug hype, as they will be adding more extras for the buyers of the tokens they sold and so forth, including possibly selling toys of the bug according to Liam.

Are NFTs the most environmentally friendly thing, absolutely not. They’re really quite damaging and the carbon footprint is quite high.

That being said.... NIFTY GATEWAY, the platform Liam chose is working toward sustainability and a more conscious way of working with NFTs.

I’ll be honest I don’t understand all of the details but a quick google search of NIFTY GATEWAY ENVIRONMENT turned up some great articles detailing exactly how they’re working to be more conscious INCLUDING placing a system that was supposed to be in effect t before Liams drop that significantly reduced the carbon footprint used in a transaction.

Soooooo for all of you who are as usual jumping on Liams dick... you can actually hop off as sure he chose NFT to be the path of delivery for the art, but leave it to Liam to chose a company spearheading CHANGE in that industry.

Not only that but despite them certainly having an impact on the environment the actual impact is less than all the hype you hear from your cousins uncles relatives friendly fedex drivers twitter.... it really doesn’t take ten minute to research. Are they harmful sure they’re certainly not helpful but they actually account for a very small percentage of what’s running on the Ethereum Network/system.
