write a nice lil drabble of how arthur gets molly to forgive him after bad fights
send me scenarios to write drabbles about // always accepting - slow responding
Arthur knows he’s in trouble themoment he gets home from work. His clock hand is on mortal peril and he thinks that’s a slight exaggeration on theclock’s part. Yes, he’s not done as he was asked yesterday, but that doesn’t meanMolly is going to kill him . . . doesit?
He doesn’t bother to tell Molly he’shome because she’s coming down the stairs as soon as the door closed. Heprepares himself for a fight but she says nothing and chooses to give him the coldshoulder instead.
‘ Molly . . . ’ He starts, wanting to get it out of the way so they could carry on as normal. It’s what he’salways done. Apologise for whatever, and they move on just fine. Sometimes.Occasionally it takes a little more work – graftthe muggles called it.
She’s in the kitchen and Arthurtakes off his hat and cloak, hanging them up like he should every day and walks after his wife. She’s preparingdinner – rather aggressively, Arthur might add – and he doesn’t like the wayshe’s slicing the sausages in half. It’s like she’s trying to make a POINT.
For now, Arthur chooses to leaveit and instead goes out to his shed to tinker about alone until it’s time for dinner. It gives him time to think of a way to make it up to Molly. He should’ve gotrid of the car . . . and he’s in enough trouble at work for the incident that Roncaused. He doesn’t need it at home too. At least the children are all at schoolor working away. It’s just the two of them. There’s no sign of Molly a coupleof hours later and Arthur decides to retire back to the house. She’s nowhere tobe seen.
‘ Molly? ’ Arthur calls outcautiously. There’s a noise from upstairs and he goes to investigate. Thebathroom light is on, and he approaches the door; it’s ajar and he watches asMolly slides into the bath. He can hear her relax. Maybe now is a good time togo in . . .
Pushing the door open, Arthurwatches as Molly looks over at him before making a pointed look to not look at him.
‘ Molly dear. . . ’ He starts. ‘Please talk to me. ’
‘ Yes, Arthur? ’ She looks at himnow.
‘ Please, don’t let’s fight. ’ Hewalks over to the bath and kneels down by her side. ‘ Everything is fine.Everything will be okay. The inquiry . . . it’s just a formality. ’
‘ A formality? ’ Molly looks atArthur and he gives her the look thatbegs her to forgive him. Her face softens immediately.
‘ Yes, a formality. But enoughabout work. ’ Arthur brushes hair from Molly’s shoulder and leans over to presshis lips against her skin. ‘ Why don’t you let me make it up to you? ’
