Uhm hello? There’s no such thing?

Okay to be fair, a good teammate in League can be defined many different ways. One might say that a good teammate talks to his team. You know, calling out their teammates whenever they make a mistake. In a nice way of course. Another might say is a teammate that never talks in chat and just does their job. Basically ping where there are enemies and not feed. It takes a lot to be either of them. As a matter of fact it’s probably the hardest part when you’re playing competitive/ranked.

Let’s get into more detail about the teammate that talks to his team. They might seem like they’re the leader of the team. The leading role. They would typically attempt making good call outs. Example: “Hey jungle, gank when at lvl 6?” or “Hey mid, try not to play aggressive jungle is camping you” or “Hey top, just farm and attack when jungle gets there”. It’s all nice and all, that is, until you get matched with a teammate that hates being ordered around. This kind of teammate may ask nicely, but to another teammate this is considered being toxic. Like me to a certain extent, I hate when people tell me what to do. If I’m not making mistakes then I am for sure not going to let a teammate tell me what to do. I play for the team, not how he/she wants me to play. While I was still playing, this was usually the cause of most fights within a team. Someone calls out on someone for doing something wrong, someone keeps telling jungle what to do, etc, etc.

On the other hand we have the quiet teammate. They don’t necessarily talk in chat, but you will hear them ping if there’s an enemy gank about to happen, if an enemy is missing, or if they need help. But if this person is doing bad, you can expect to have the teammates to be really angry for not communicating efficiently. Someone who doesn’t talk in chat and is feeding can be mistakenly seen as someone who stopped trying to win or doesn’t care for the game. When in reality they are actually just shy and bad at the game. This doesn’t mean that you should flame your quiet teammate. Just let them know what they did wrong. I’m sure they will try their best to understand. Flaming your teammate lowers chemistry and lowers success in team fights.
