Does it have to be unique comments to count, or can it be a comment on someone else's comment?

Making a comment thread and commenting on things other people have commented about is encouraged! That will count as an independent comment toward the total number, though it will be unique usernames that I'm really counting. So you will still only count as 1/15 even if you write your own comment and then also comment on someone else's thoughts.

What if we don't ever make it to 19? I can only count as one person, but I really want the chapter!

If I never get the target amount, then the chapters will be released on the usual once-per-week schedule. This is really just to give my readers the chance to experience the chapters the best way for them to be read, while making it worth the extra effort to make this happen for me. There is simply nothing I love more than seeing a little community happening in the comments section.

Also, i said I only wanted, like 7 different commenters when I did this for the Loke arc, and I got 20+ comments each day. I think you all can do it. But if you're worried, tell your friends irl and online to read the fic so they can leave comments too! Leave comments for other authors on their fics for practice, then subtly recommend Lucy the Lion and see who bites! There are a lot of ways to boost the chances of meeting the goal, and now you have a monthish to plan for it!

Why 19?

Loke turned 19 in the fic on July 1st, the first day of the GMG! I want to celebrate! Also I want to challenge my readers. I get 350-400 hits per week right now, and it's really just the same five-six reviewers that keep me going. I want to give my silent readers a little extra encouragement and bravery to chat with me as well!

Will you be answering all the comments you receive each day?

My response time to the comments will probably be slowed, I do admit. My joy full, but so is my schedule as I do final edits. I'm purposefully arranging my schedule to be able to do this, and hopefully answer some comments before the next chapter goes up, because that's part of the fun, but I will likely not be able to answer all of them the same day.

There are some comments I might intentionally chose not to answer right away if they make me so giddy/estatic I don't think I can respond without spoilers. There will be a lot for my readers to figure out in these chapters specifically, and I hope a lot of the reviews show people's theories as they try to figure out the twists that are foreshadowed!

Aw, thank you for asking! Yes! I will be just fine! I've been looking forward to writing these chapters for years, been making bullet points about them for that long too, so they are flowing pretty quickly. I'm being completely honest that this will be highlight of my summer.

What if I say something stupid accidentally in my comment and you hate me forever??!!??

The only comments I don't like are the ones that call me stupid, so don't do that, and you're fine! The bar is way lower than you think it is to make me happy with a comment. I had one commenter for a while that I adored, and they spent each comment saying how cool it would be if i incorporated things from other TV shows into the story. Some were good ideas, this person helped me figure out what to do with Lucy during the second origin episode, but most ideas were never going to happen, and they were fun to think about and chat about all the same!

If you have no ideas for a comment, tell me a line or a character that stood out to you from the story over all or the chapter, and I will be a gushing ball of goo about how happy that makes me.

Lol, if you really wanted to, you could create a doc with several comments about different characters/events you liked throughout the story in advance then post one on each chapter. I won't know when you wrote them, and i'd still absolutely love it.

Will you have enough chapters to go back to weekly posting after the event? I know you like to write things way in advance, I'd rather have just a chapter per week if it meant you didn't have to take another hiatus.
