They're married, successful law firm, but under the surface their marriage is struggling

Yuri is accusing Loid is being emotionally distant, little does he know that Loid has been getting into a mess helping criminal syndicate WISE.

Yuri, not knowing this, has been approached by the DA a couple times asking him to join. He's a good lawyer, and he would be able to help get bad people off the street

But he hasn't told Loid yet. Cause Loid doesn't super like cops or a lot of the justice system due to them failing him in his childhood, can be a bit ACAB

Yuri and Anya are just. Not getting along. and that's not helping out with shit between Yuri and Loid cause Loid would murder to make his daughter happy. Loid has been trying to help them get along, family therapy, trying to work on their little blended family, but shit has been hard

then, one day, Yuri gets a call and holy shit

His sister Yor got arrested

for murder

Yuri isn't allowed to be on the team defending his sister but Loid has put together a team to defend her (I think because of Yuri and Yor are related this may not be allowed but whatever this is more fun)

Yor gets out on bail, but is stuck basically at Loid's and Yuri's home

thought it would be fine, maybe even good for Yuri to have blood family close by.

Yor is getting along with Anya and Loid better than Yuri does and even though he won't say it, Yuri is incredibly jealous. Like he has been trying for months to get along with this child, barely gotten anywhere, but then Yor comes in and those two are basically two peas in a pod

and Loid and Yor?

he should trust them, that's his husband and sister, nothing is happening between them. Loid is working on her case, of course it seems like they are close. That's just the nature of these kind of cases, Yuri isnt allowed to know really anything. So of course it feels like they are keeping secrets from him. It's fine. This is fine.

Yuri starts hanging out more with the DA guys more. Starting to seriously consider leaving his firm. He still hasn't mentioned this to Loid. But he has been noticeably out of the house more.

And Yor's case?

Told Loid

there are two people you should never lie to and that your doctor and lawyer. and well yeah she fuckng killed that guy please don't tell Yuri

But this is his husband's sister. and Loid refuses to let her go to jail. His marriage is already on the rocks and Yuri would blame him if yor loses this case so

Loid starts talking to his contacts, faking an alibi, ruining evident, throwing out witness testimonies

Straight up confessed once but that can be rescinded and hopefully thrown

And big thing is training Yor on how to lie, that is probably the biggest hurdle. Like dear god even if she was innocent she acted guilty. Apologizing and taking blame for shit she didn't even do. Loid is doing his best to keep her off the stand because prosecutors would eat her alive

So Loid and Yor start practicing and preparing for trial

And... its actually kind of fun? Like Of course he has met and hung out with Yor before. He married her brother for god's sake. But before she lived pretty far away and they never really like, talked talked.

And you know she and Yuri are alike, very passionate in everything, very honest, very awkward and she gets along so well with Anya. And she has been giving him advise to try and help his and Yuri's relationship which has been so nice

And when she finds out about his, less than ethical dealings, she doesn't reject him. She's done some shit too to support her and Yuri, lmao that murder was technically a hit lol (oh yeah oh shit she forgot to mention she's a hitman)

And.... no he is not falling for her, that his sister-in-law, that would be fucked up

And Loid and Yuri are just, not seeing each other as often. Loid is working all day and Yuri is coming home late at night

And eventually. Yuri makes a decision. He's leaving the practice. Already has a job lined up at DA

And the two are fucking fighting now

Yuri has moved out. and when he is over him and Loid are arguing. They're trying therapy but it has basically gone up in flames

and Yor is stuck in the middle, both are bitching about the other to her until she finally puts her foot down

Like god she wants to be there for her brother but she already dealing with this murder charge and she doesn't want to be selfish but she can't deal with this right now. especially when it's her lawyer, she needs to work with this guy

And dear god if anyone tries to involve Anya in this, Loid will tear them apart (Anya knows everything and talks about it with Becky and her own therapist)
