Toji
Toji doesn’t really bark often, but he does growl, and it’s hot as fuck
Toji approached slowly, looking every inch like the predator you knew he was. You don’t become a trained killer without that certain look in your eye. You suddenly hit the bed and fell backward, and he followed near immediately. He crawled up over the bed, gripping your wrists to pin them over your head.
In an impulsive moment, you rolled out from under him and threw yourself back up to your feet. You made eye contact for a long moment, as you both processed what was happening. Then, with a grin that promised trouble, he barked. That was all the sign you needed to know that it was time to start running, and you scrambled out of your shared bedroom.
“Missed you.” He growled against your ear, starting to press wet kisses down your neck, you couldn’t help the way you shivered slightly.
“To-” you whined softly, cutting yourself off. He leaned upward onto his knees to unbuckle his belt.
Nanami
Nanami doesn’t do it really, he says the word ‘woof’ and it cracks you up. He’d only do it for you.
You stepped out of the dressing room at the store and lifted your arms to show off the shirt that you’d put on. Nanami nodded and hummed, taking you in quietly as he usually did.
“Come on baby, give me more than that,” you whined, though you did it while smiling, “bark for me.” You joked, already prepared to go back to the dressing room to change into something else, when he surprised you.
“Woof.” He said, entirely deadpan, and your knees almost buckled. You whirled back around to face him with wide disbelieving eyes and a broad grin.
“You didn’t.” You whispered, struggling to contain your laughter.
“You asked me to.” He replied innocently, though you could see the slight upturn of his lips and the sparkle of mischief in his eyes. You laughed loudly as you shook your head, returning back to the booth.
“Love you Ken!” You called out.
“I love you too, sweetheart.”
Gojo
Gojo does it once, as a joke, and neither of you can take him seriously.
“Shit you look good.” Gojo said as you emerged from your shared room, dressed nicely for your date to some classy restaurant his rich ass had picked out for you both. You turned in a full 360 so he could see you from every angle as he slowly closed the distance between the two of you. Where usually he’d have simply praised you again or even whistled, he did something a little different.
He barked.
He didn’t say woof. He barked, with his entire chest.
The two of you looked at each other long and hard, and then broke down into laughter at the same time, clutching each other to remain upright.
“What the fuck, Toru?” You asked, reaching up to carefully wipe your eye to prevent the tears building up from rolling down your cheek.
“Your face-” He wheezed, stumbling away to drop himself on the arm of the sofa. You finally managed to stand upright, shaking your head.
“Where did that come from?” You asked, fond but exasperated.
“Online. Thought it’d be funny, and it was.” He replied, standing as well, and offering his arm for you to take.
“It was.”
“Of course it was. I’m hilarious.”

Content/Warnings: Kid/GN!Reader, this is my first time writing for Kid, past slash, prior relationship, inspired by I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift
AO3 | Fanfic Masterlist | Request Rules | WIPs
You should've known better, really. To think you'd fallen for the self-absorbed captain of the Kid pirates with the overinflated ago. Fool you for not trying just a little harder at self-preservation really.
Really, truly, it was your mistake. But then, he was the one who'd done wrong so why not blame him anyway?
You'd met in a bar. What a place to meet a guy, huh? You were both a couple of drinks deep, but sober enough to hold a conversation. He'd drawn you in with the most basic, cheesy lines. He hadn't even come up with lines that were specific to your own appearance - but you'd liked them. They were so bad that they'd made you laugh, and that was his in.
He swooped in and rushed you off your feet, a whirlwind of feelings and what could almost be considered love bombing. He showered you with affection and gentle words, and hell the sex was great. Then he was gone. He boarded his ship with promises to call, and then just.. Didn’t. Not once. Captain Kid was gone and he’d left you alone with no promise of return, and no number for his den den.
So yeah, maybe you were the idiot for not realising what would happen. He was a pirate and pirates didn’t do settling down. But he was so hot, you couldn’t have passed up the opportunity.
“You know what’s on the menu here?” A man asked as he stepped up beside you. You glanced up at him with a raised brow, baffled by the question. Before you were able to reply something that would likely be scathing, he followed up with. “Hopefully me ‘n’ you.” It was ridiculous, and it was awful, but it caught you so off guard that you laughed.
“What a line.” You replied, smiling at the bartender as you ordered a drink for yourself. The man cut in and ordered one for himself, letting the bartender know he’d be paying for both drinks. Alright, he had jokes and he had berri - he was off to a good start.
“You here with anyone tonight, beautiful?” He asked, and you pursed your lips to hide a still lingering smile.
“Nope. I’m a local.” That was a stupid thing to tell him, on reflection, it told him that he could play you.
“Let me keep you company then. I’ve heard there’s pirates around, and they can be dangerous.”
“Are you dangerous, Mr..?”
“Kid. Captain Kid.” You took a long moment to regard him, looking him up and down, then you decided that he’d do.
“I’ll take that as a yes then.” And the night continued from there.
“I’d definitely call myself that,” Kid said, clearly smug as he took his drink from the bartender, “I’d call myself a lot of things.” He said, turning to you with a broad smirk on his face.
“I’m sure you would.” You replied, reaching out to rest a hand on his large bicep.
He paid for your drinks for the rest of the night, and eventually he dragged you out onto the dancefloor. You swayed around, grinding against his muscular chest and his crotch, seeing how far you could rile him before he’d really push the boundary. He was by no means a gentleman with the way his hands wandered your body, and how he grabbed your hips to pull you against his body, but he’d yet to touch anything particularly private. You woke up beside him in bed the next morning, which told you just how far you had to push him to get what you wanted - not very.
You probably never had a real chance with him, you know that now as you look at a photograph of him with someone else shared in the papers by big news Morgan. He seemed to be wooing people all across the grand line and you couldn’t blame anyone for letting themselves be seduced - it’d worked on you after all. Now you sat in the bar where you met him, the same drink he’d been buying for you in your hand, and in your mind you cursed his name because you knew you’d never forget the nights you spent together. He’d hardly told you that he loved you, neither of you were so stupid, but his every touch had felt like a little whisper of emotion, and his promise to see you again as he left felt true.
Dragon & Reader request for anon for my 200 followers event
Content/Warnings: Dragon & GN!Reader, Dragon is looking East, platonic relationship, fluff, inspired by Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons
AO3 | Fanfic Masterlist | Request Rules
You softly approached Dragon from behind. He was precisely where you'd known that he'd be, standing on the balcony outside of his office, looking out toward the East.
"Cornelia asked me to pass these along, sir." You said, holding out a few papers to Dragon, and after a brief pause he tore his gaze away from the horizon to take the papers from you. He flicked through them, and nodded. One final glance spared for the horizon later, Dragon led the way into his office, setting the papers onto an ever growing stack on his desk.
You remembered the day you first met Dragon. He'd been a younger man back then, and far less quiet. Less brooding. He'd been a young man who inspired the masses.
"Do you know why I do what I do?" He'd asked you, a beer in hand and a grin in place on his face.
"Why?" You asked, even though you were sure he'd start monologuing. You wanted to listen.
"I want my name to be on the lips of thousands. Not because I want to be worshipped, but because I want to be known for helping people who need it. I want to be able to do whatever it takes to change the world. I feel like I was born to do this, like there's freedom in my veins. I have to share it, because I remember a time I didn't feel like this and nobody should have to feel like that every day. I want to be a symbol, not of a movement, but of what our world could be. I want to spread.. freedom and health and joy." Dragon finished, looking down into his cup. He chanced a look over at you to find you smiling. "I don't know if that makes sense."
"I'll follow you, Dragon. That sounds like a cause I can support."
"Are you alright, Dragon?" You asked. You didn't often use his name anymore, but in soft and gentle moments like these, it felt important.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked in response and you just sighed. You rounded his desk to sit atop the side closest to him, reaching out to take a hand of his in your own.
"I'm your friend. Talk to me." You pleaded gently, squeezing his hand softly.
"The dawn is coming. I know it is. It'll rise in the East, and I think it's going to rise without me." It was such a silly thing to be upset about, because it wasn't rising without him, it was rising because of him.
"That boy of yours is magnificent. You created him with freedom in his veins, it's what makes his very heart beat, and you gave him that gift. The dawn isn't coming without you, it's coming because of you. Because of everything you've done since the day you left the marines," you insisted, pulling him closer to look straight into his eyes, "you'll be there at the final war, and we'll win. Together. Because you told me once that it isn't about you - it's about the people. Don't forget that now." Dragon smiled, just a small fragile thing, but he pulled you into a hug like he hadn't given in years, and your heart softened.
"Thank you for staying by my side all these years." He said softly, and you could only laugh, a grin on your face because he'd put it there all those years ago.
Hina/GN!Reader requested by anon for my 200 followers event
And if you saw this post the first time, no you didn't. (Tumblr glitched)
Content/Warnings: Hina/GN!Reader, unhealthy relationship, NSFW implications, angst-ish, Inspired by Bubblegum Bitch by MARINA
Hina was a special kind of woman, and to think she'd chosen you. She was beautiful, tall, commanding - many marines scrambled for a piece of her but she'd picked you. You didn't get the chance to see her often, since you weren't serving directly under her, but whenever you did it was electric. You worshipped her and she basked in the attention, a perfect dynamic. Occasionally she'd even worship you in return, on her knees before you for your pleasure, and there was nothing that left you feeling higher.
But you were becoming tired.
Hina would come around, make you feel special, make you feel wanted and then she'd disappear without a word and never call, leaving you wanting and waiting for when you'd get a chance to see her again. The entire arrangement was a secret, that was an unspoken rule, but you'd confided in a friend that the woman you were seeing was doing that and they'd insisted you should leave her.
During the course of your relationship with Hina you'd been keeping a diary, your way of getting all the feelings you wanted to share out without spilling the secret you were keeping. After the conversation with your friend, you'd sat down and read it back.
She was gorgeous, stunning, perfect, she cared for you, she touched you, she saw you. She was gone, you were left hurting, wanting, hurting. That was the pattern. An entry or two would detail how wonderful it was to be with her, how amazing you felt, how happy she made you. Then the next entry would be how hurt you were that she'd left without a word again, how you wished you could call her, how you felt lost without her. It didn't seem healthy.
That night you wrote another entry, detailing how you wanted to break the relationship off, so that if you got caught up when you tried the entry would serve as a reminder of how you felt. Like you were being mistreated.
"Hello gorgeous." Hina greeted when she saw you next, delicate hands wrapping around your body and ghosting over your torso, attempting to get a rise out of you no doubt. It'd been just a week since you'd made your decision and you still held strong, you wanted to end the arrangement you had so you could pursue something better.
"Hina." You replied, taking her hands in yours to remove them from your body, uninterested in falling back into her addictive embrace. Thankfully she'd found you alone, in a room that was near sound proof, because you couldn't begin to guess what would happen next.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." She replied with a raised brow, but removed her hands anyway, slotting them into the pockets of her trousers. You sighed, closing your eyes to steel yourself for what you wanted to do next.
"Hina - I don't want to see you anymore." You said, looking anywhere but directly at her.
"Where is this coming from?"
"You left me."
"Which time?"
"Exactly. I can't keep doing this." You insisted, though you weren't sure how strong you would be if she began to try to talk you back into her arms. Hina hummed, thinking on your words, and you stood there before her waiting for her answer.
"Okay." She said simply, and shrugged, brushing some hair from her face. That was it?
"What?" You asked dumbly, staring at her with confusion written all over your face. Was it truly going to be that easy? Did she care for you so little?
"I said okay. If you're done, that's fine. I had fun." Hina winked at you, then turned and left you where she'd found you, in a storage room of the ship, alone.
The fact that she'd walked away so easily was what hurt the most.
Inspired by some chatting about Shanks I was doing with @fanaticsnail and @maritimebird
Content/Warnings: Shanks/GN!Reader, breaking up, arguing, hurt/no comfort, Shanks is characterised as a bad guy/ kind of toxic
Four years. Four entire years of your life dedicated to Red Haired Shanks. He was globally revered and respected, considered one of the strongest of a generation, a real contender for Pirate King as an apprentice and honorary son of Gol D. Roger. He was also a scumbag. It seemed like you were the only person who knew that, though, and frankly you were ashamed it'd taken you this long.
You'd woken up today feeling stronger than you had in ages, and when you sat for breakfast alone once again, you knew it was over. You were already gone, you'd emotionally left your partnership months ago, you'd just been hanging on for the sake of nostalgia, because of the man he'd been at first, who you'd wanted him to be. Who he hadn't been in a long time. Plus, you were finally coming up on an island and the Red Force would be docking, so you'd be able to completely leave Shanks, the ship and the crew. A clean break.
He wouldn't wake up for hours, you knew that now. No matter how many times you'd told him it would be nice to spend the morning together, to be quietly present for each other when you first woke up, he never stirred til after noon. It was because of his drinking of course, and you knew that, but he wouldn't cut back on that either. Why would he do that?
You left the kitchen before Lucky had even finished preparing breakfast with just a slice of toast in hand. You didn't feel like food this morning.
You sat on the deck with Beckman while he smoked, and you explained to him what you were about to do. He accepted it, had even seen it coming, and agreed to help you leave without Shanks clinging on or lingering on the island to try to make you come back.
When Shanks finally emerged after lunch had already been served, you headed to take a shower while Yassop and Hongo helped to pack up your stuff from Shanks' room, wanting to cause as little suspicion as possible.
Freshly washed, in the perfect outfit for the occasion which made you feel confident, you returned to the deck. Shanks sat with Beck, one smoking and the other drinking, idle chatter occasionally passing between them.
"Shanks, I need to talk to you." You said, interrupting whatever they'd been speaking about.
"Sorry doll, I was just chatting with Beck, can you give me ten mi-"
"No. I can't. This is more important." You said, voice firm, expression stony.
"Oh c'mon just a few-"
"No Shanks. Not this time. We can have this conversation here and now if you really want, I don't care, but it might be better for your ego to go somewhere more private." You said, and Benn awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, clearly wishing he was anywhere but there.
"Go on then, gorgeous, what's up?" He asked, taking zero regard for your serious tone or the look on your face. Of course he didn't, nothing ruffled the feathers of Red Haired Shanks.
"You are, you overgrown child," you hissed, surprised as the words came out of your mouth, you'd been intending on separating peacefully but clearly that wasn't going to be happening, "I am sick of you, and your bullshit Shanks! This? Us? It's over, I'm done. I'm getting off at the next island, and I'm not coming back." Shanks paused, looking temporarily confused, before a smile came back over his face and it made your blood boil.
"Oh c'mon, is this cause I missed breakfast? You know I try, I just don't do mornings. I'll try again tomorrow." You'd never wanted to strike someone more.
"I don't know why I bothered even trying to have a conversation - I can't even have a damn argument with you! I'm fucking leaving, you cannot grin and laugh your way through or away from that. I'm leaving this ship, this crew - I'm leaving you." You couldn't stop your anger from pouring out in your words, your hands slightly trembling from the rage coursing through you.
"That feels like a bit of a rush decision, love, are you sure you've really thought about that?" Shanks replied, now looking concerned for you, as if you were experiencing some sort of meltdown.
"Oh- I've never been so fucking angry. Rush? I've been planning on leaving you for months! I'm so tired of the way you treat me, Shanks. You treat me like I - and frankly like nothing else - matters! You can't just laugh and shrug all your problems away, and ignore my attempts to communicate and tell you when there's a problem in our relationship. I have dedicated four years of my life to you, and most of those years were spent being delusional and convincing myself that it wasn't that bad, and I just had to remember how could things could be. But they never went back to being that good. I'm not even sure they were that good to begin with, you just charmed me with your words." It was a lot to scream at someone in public, knowing the crew had all stopped what they were doing to listen to you, to witness what would happen when you raised your voice at the Captain like that.
"There's no need to yell doll, c'mon. This should be private." You couldn't believe him. A wave of unstable, humourless laughter overcame you that you couldn't help releasing, and Benn eyed you warily.
"Oh you are so lucky you're stronger than me, because if I thought I had any sort of chance, I'd attack you." You told him, still laughing just a little. It was a cruel sort of power imbalance between you really.
"Is that a threat?" Shanks asked, and you pinched the bridge of your nose, the humour passing and being replaced by just.. exhaustion.
"Benn, my stuff is all packed, I'm going to go sit with it until we dock and then I'm gone." You said to the first mate before turning on your heel to walk away.
"Where are you going? Are you seriously just walking away from me like that?" Shanks yelled after you, standing from his chair.
"Yes! That's exactly what I just told you I was doing!" You replied, but you didn't turn to look back at him, just continued on your way.
When you docked, Shanks appeared to have disappeared. You hauled your stuff from the ship, and hugged the crew goodbye. It wasn't fair that you'd lose your friends just because you'd split with Shanks, but that was just the way of things. They were his men, not yours. You sat on top of a crate, rubbing hands over your face as you shoved down the rising tide of emotion in your chest.
"Hey," Benn said, stepping up to stand beside you, "if you ever need anything.. I mean it anything, just call." He said, handing you two pieces of paper. One piece held the number for his den den, while the other was blank - his vivre card.
"Thank you." You said emphatically, and then he walked away, back to the crew.
You sat there, just observing, as the crew ran to quickly board their ship with their small restock, and undocked from the port, Shanks stood on the deck observing you.
The red force sailed away, and you heaved a deep sigh of relief. You finally felt like you could breathe again.

Law & Reader fic for anon for my 200 followers event
Content/Warnings: Law & GN!Reader, angst, Law doing doctor things, reader struggles with mental health, inspired by how to save a life by The Fray
"Hey, make some time to come to my office today." Law told you in passing when you were leaving breakfast, and he was just arriving. What? That was a little ominous, but you just nodded and continued on your way. You had things to do, maintenance around the tang, so you set about your tasks. Law's words rang in the back of your mind for the rest of the day, haunting you while you tried to focus.
Around lunch time, you knew you needed to go see him, because if you didn't you'd just be distracted, unable to work as his words were all you could think about. A dozen possibilities circulated in your mind, but you couldn't guess what it was he wanted to discuss.
You knocked gently on the door to his office, and when there was no response indicating whether you could or couldn't enter, you slowly opened the door and peeked your head through to see Law sitting at his desk and working on papers.
"You wanted to see me?" You said, hesitating there in the doorway.
"Oh yes, come in and just sit down." Law said, quickly shuffling his papers together and off to the side of his desk. You did as he asked, pausing before you sat in the chair opposite him rather than on the examination table. Now this was really odd.
"What was it you needed, Captain?" You asked after a brief, awkward silence.
"I just wanted to talk to you about some.. things you've said recently." You said a lot of things, so that wasn't particularly helpful, but it was something at least. You had a brief flash of concern when for just a moment you thought maybe you'd upset someone on the crew, which was of course the last thing you would ever want to do.
"Everyone is worried about you." Law said, and all the air rushed from your body. Oh. Now you understood. At least you knew what was happening now.
"Oh. Okay.." You trailed off, unsure of what he wanted you to say to that. Clearly, Law wasn't too sure what he wanted to say either. He knew the conversation was important, and apparently was needed, but he just didn't know how to do it. Silence followed where the two of you sat, fidgeting, uncomfortable but with no words to share.
"I don't know what you want me to say, Captain." You said, hoping to prompt.. something. Anything really.
"You know we all care about you, right? We'd miss you if you were gone." The words left Law in a rush, as if he needed to force them out, and you weren't surprised that it felt like that. You all knew he cared about you sure, but he wasn't often verbally affectionate.
"I know Cap. Logically.. I know."
"But that doesn't make a difference." Law finished, a knowing expression on his face. As if he'd experienced something like that before.
"Yeah." You agreed, voice just a whisper. That was exactly it. Sometimes it didn't matter how much you knew that the crew cared for you, because the voice in your head would whisper that they didn't really, that they were only pretending. It was exhausting both to listen and to ignore it.
"You know if there was more I could do for you, I would. If you would talk to me I could.. prescribe you something? It might help." Law offered tentatively, but you just shook your head. You really didn't like the idea of being medicated. It wasn't something that you wanted, unless necessary.
"And isolating yourself isn't a solution - don't think we don't see you doing it. It makes you worse, and I think you know that too." You looked down at your feet with a sigh, not giving him a response. Of course you knew, but it just wasn't that easy. But then, he knew that too. Law had been through the ringer, he understood if nobody else did.
"I want help, Cap." You whispered, and Law rounded his desk to pull you to his chest. Law was prone to small, casual acts of physical touch like patting someone's back or leaning against them - but a hug was special. You embraced him in return, clutching at him like he was a lifeline.
A lovely mutual of mine @bloglop requested a fic for the 200 followers event featuring her OC Mila and Law, and who was I to turn that down?
Content/Warnings: OC/Law, Fluff, established relationship, playful relationship, cute, Law being a doctor
Finally, Mila had arrived back at the Polar Tang after delivering various letters and parcels across the Grand Line.
She didn't necessarily love her job, but she did enjoy getting to travel the world and meeting new people. That was exactly how she'd met Law. Their relationship had started as strictly business, and their arrangement of allowing her to rest on the sub when she needed a break was a fair trade for her delivering their mail for free.
Things had changed slowly, over time, between the Captain and the delivery hare.
Law wasn't the most feeling man, but Mila was undoubtably attracted to him, and she couldn't help falling for him hard and fast. Things moved much slower for him. She was a semi-consistent presence, and whenever she arrived at the Tang she was always injured. He loyally patched her up, gently scolding her for being careless and not taking better care of herself.
"You take care of me then." She'd joked once, and that had been the turning point in their relationship.
Mila kicked off her shoes, padding down the hall toward the kitchen to grab herself a snack, then beelined for Law's office where she knew he would be. After all, she was injured as usual. With a quick few raps on the door, Mila headed inside and found her lover sitting at his desk working on something, just as she'd expected.
"Welcome back." Law said, not looking up from whatever he was scribbling at.
"Gonna need some bandages." Mila told him, hopping up onto his consultation bed automatically, a habit from so long of doing exactly that whenever she arrived. Law sighed, but there was a small smile on his face that he couldn't quite hide.
He grabbed his first aid box on his way to the examination table, and sighed when he caught sight of Mila's legs, cut up from running through the brush of a greener island. He pulled the roll of bandages from inside the box and set about wrapping them around Mila's legs gently. Once he was done, and the bandages were secure, he leaned in closer to press a gentle kiss to her lips.
"How many times do I need to tell you to be more careful?" He asked, though it was clear he wasn't mad.
"How else am I meant to get you this close to me?" Mila joked in return, reaching to lace her fingers with Law's.
"Ask. You're too pretty to say no." It wasn't often that Law was so sappy, but Mila brought that out of him, though only in private. He was so soft for her, he'd never have thought he could care about someone like this.
"In that case," Mila said, "can we go get in bed and cuddle?" Mila asked, batting her lashes at her lover, and Law laughed softly, shaking his head for a moment. Then, without warning, he scooped Mila up into his arms making her squeal with delight, and he proceeded to carry her through the Polar Tang to his bedroom, his room that sometimes was their room.
Content/Warnings: Benn Beckman/GN!Reader, sexual content, cheating on bad partner,
You hadn't meant to do it.. okay maybe you had. There was no use hiding it really, but you also didn't feel bad about it. He didn't deserve you feeling bad about it.
You'd had a partner, back on your home island, before you'd joined the Red Hair Pirates. He'd been sweet, at first, but over time he'd changed. Story of your life. He'd been doting, cared for you, you felt good. Then, you'd experienced the way your friends on the Red Force treated you, and in comparison he didn't seem all that special anymore. Then, his letters had changed in tone too. He was frustrated at first about you being separated, which you understood, being long distance was hard. Then he was angry you'd left. Then he talked bad about your crew members. Then he turned to accusing you.
And, well, if he'd already made up his mind, you may as well be exactly what he accused you of. It wasn't like he could do anything to stop you, and you could just choose to never go back home.
Benn was a far better lay than your ex ever could've been, too.
You'd spent many nights (and early mornings) together, moaning and borderline screaming, bringing yourselves pleasure over and over, in a way you'd never experienced before. You stopped missing him, stopped responding to his letters, stopped reading them altogether. You weren't official with Benn, but you didn't need to be, you were happy with what you had going.
One day, the snail rang. Shanks hadn't been expecting a call, and when it began with yelling, he'd almost put it down, until he saw your face. It was your ex.
"Let me, please boss." Benn said with a grin that promised trouble, and with a smirk of his own, Shanks handed the snail over.
"How can we help ya?" Benn asked, rocking back in his chair, feet propped up on the table in front of him.
"Sorry, don't know anyone called that." He said, looking directly at you. He winked, flicking his tongue out to wet his lips.
"Oh shit, you're right. No, I know who you mean. Yeah, but I wouldn't say yours." There was a pause, then a lot of yelling, with some strong language.
"Well yeah, have to say, I didn't realise. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have spent all those nights inside them like that."
Benn sat the snail back on the table and let your ex yell himself hoarse. What did either of you care what he had to say anyway? Eventually, he picked the snail up once again to speak.
"Yeah, I'm done listening to your horseshit. Don't call again." And then he ended the call. Well, at least that ties off that loose end.
