Bridges- BROODS
Now weâre burning up all the bridges nowWatching it go up in flamesNo way to build it up againAnd weâre burning all the bridges nowCause it was sink or swimAnd i went down, down, down
âBailey, where are you taking me?â Logan sounded impatient, and frustrated, and she knew she didnât have much time before heâd sigh and grumble and leave altogether, so she picked up her pace, looking over her shoulder to ensure he was still following her, a heavy box still in her arms that rattled with every step.Â
âJust follow me, wonât you? I told you to wear more sensible shoes.â She added, as they trekked across the Forrest, eyeing his battered shoes pointedly. Logan just rolled his eyes at her, looking like he could not care less about anything else Bailey had to say.
A clearing up ahead revealed the stacks of wood she had put together, along with some lavender to ensure it wouldnât smell too bad and attract attention of forrest animals. She left out a âa-ha!â triumphantly, grinning over at Logan who continued to look unimpressed, marching over before setting the box down, and pulling off the lid.
Logan looked inside and immediately his face fell temporarily from the scowl, surprised now, before looking up at Bailey for an explanation. She swallowed hard, holding up her hands to keep him from exploding or threatening to kill her.
âNow i- i - before you get mad, Logman... This is just- iâm trying to help, okay? And if you really donât want to do it, you donât have to. But- but i found it really helped me after... Dan... You canât sit in your room, or live your life with constant reminders of her spinning throughout.â Bailey said softly, anxiously, looking down at the contents of the box, overflowing with pictures of Kelani and Logan together, as well as random items the two had shared together that Bailey had helped Logan box up just a few days ago.Â
Logan didnât say a word, still looking down at the box, and Bailey swallowed hard before reaching into her pocket, pulling out the small box of matches she had placed in there and offering them to him.
âYou donât have to... But if you want to... The optionâs there. And maybe it will help... Not help you forget her, but help you... Not hurt so much, maybe.â She suggested, watching him. And with that she took a small step back, glad to see Logan hadnât tried to kill her yet, and realising the matches were probably useless seeing as Logan had an ability with fire but... Oh well. She just hoped that whatever happened- it would help.
