in honor of yuri day heres more lockanne/lockleanne I havent decided on a good ship name
no fanfiction because all of my creativity is going to an outsiders fic :)
@pixl-puppyyy @scribbledstars16 @theaterkidest2009 you're the. uh. them!! the them likers!
who makes the first move?
in my head i feel like diane makes the first move but frida doesn't hear it because shes too busy suffering with ALL of her health conditions.
"Frida. ireallyreallylikeyouyourlikemybestfriendandiwanttokissyou" "FUCK MY HEAD OW OW FUCK OW OW" "...okay :("
probably a week after that is when diane tries again and frida actually hears it. they have a slight situationship for a little bit
it takes frida five days to ask what they are.
ways of affection
as detailed in the fic i made, diane goes to get food for frida if shes not doing to well, like if she cant see or is too tired
frida will take drugs away from diane when shes in a complete mental slump. she doesn't want to handle losing her.
diane holds frida or helps her around when her visual snow syndrome fucks her up or when she gets bad migraines.
frida helps patch up holes in diane's bandanas :)
they are a kissy-kissy couple. very much so.
frida helps diane sneak back into her room when they go out late at night, and maybe sometimes also follows 👀
what causes the break up? (so sorry about this)
diane starts to pull away from leo and frida towards the time when frida's soon to graduate, so their trio slightly dissolves
frida notices the distance and is the one to break up, especially when she learns shes going to a new york college.
diane accepts it calmly. theres no animosity between them.
leo finds out about the relationship when diane rants to him
how did frida react to diane's death? (also very sorry about this!!)
frida went back to oklahoma one: to visit Leo's grave two or three years after his death and two: to visit diane again.
diane lives in a group home for hippies. she's fallen deeper into her drug addiction and is deathly skinny + pale
when frida found out where she was, she immediately went there. she hears from one of diane's friends that shes in the basement.
diane was about five minutes from death when frida found her. she was held in her lap for those five minutes, hyperventilating, in pain, hallucinating, etc. nobody knew what to do.
frida had prayed to god to give her a peaceful afterlife after those five minutes. she disconnected from her faith five years ago.
ever since their deaths, frida refuses to go back to tulsa and has a breakdown when she does.
what was the first kiss?
diane made the first move to kiss frida. it was when they were over at frida's house, sitting on her bed after dinner.
frida remembers the bracelets on the side of her neck and the rings on her cheeks the most fondly.
diane remembers how she was wearing a maroon skirt and a darkly dyed shirt and how frida had a baby blue dress.
the first kiss was pretty soft, but the second one wasn't 💔💔
how are they in public or around friends or around parents?
very very private. they act like friends and pull it off.
frida's parents are extremely religious and have made homophobic remarks before
diane's parents are. not really the most open minded. theyre also sort of religious, though not as much as fridas.
leo feels like he knows though not fully, he didn't want to picture his qpp and his bff together 💔💔
what if diane had lived?
frida would've most definitely went back to tulsa frequently. I feel like i need to make leo also live in this au
diane will occasionally surprise her in new york.
instead of frida getting a husband, they stay together and move into a house in the country :)
okay does that work for yuri day ill write fanfics of them if you request or suggest ideas...

every time diane looked at frida from a distance she would always smirk and tap her lips with her pointer finger, or just keep her nail (she had really long nails) in between her lips. leo clocked her ass multiple times.
okay okay experimental doomed yuri. diane x frida okay? alright. sounds good. uhm. I thought frida was going to be the (practically) only straight character in the theatre au but now as I reread. uh. Yeah. You've just gotta squint. anyways have a yippee time this is writers block purpose.
wish you'd hold me in your arms, kiss me sweetly
@xo-cherrycola @scribbledstars16 @theaterkidest2009 @pixl-puppyyy i think y'all would be interested
"Why are you grounded? You haven't gotten to that yet," Frida asked as she sat in a stool near the wall, flipping through a phone book as she listened to the deep voice coming through the phone positioned on her shoulder. Sunlight shined into the kitchen, it was pretty early in the morning.
There was a raspy sigh. "I'm gettin' there, give me a second," Diane muttered.
"Is three enough?"
"Oh my God, look, my parents found marijuana under my bed, under that one creaky floorboard. Quick enough?"
Frida smiled and flipped to the page for L's, crossing her legs. The nightgown she wore tightened around her legs and she frowned, then noticed Locklear. "Still pretty slow, Dee." She heard a floorboard creak and quickly leaned forward to see if anyone was coming down the stairs.
"D'you still wanna hang out today?"
Frida didn't respond, still staring at the staircase before pulling her eyes away when white dots started to scatter all over her view. "You'll get in trouble, your parents like me, I don't want them to not," she said quietly.
Diane groaned. "They won't get upset, I'll just tell them you didn't know I was in trouble if I get caught!"
Paper flipping mixed with the soft sigh. "Dia, I don't... I don't know."
"Please? I miss you."
"I don't bend to pleases. Ask your boyfriend to hang out?" Silence on the other line. "Diane?
"Sorry- who?!" Diane's voice was hissy and slightly confused.
"Leo."
"We-we ain't dating, he's a fairy."
Frida paused. "Okay. Ask him to hang out?" She repeated.
Diane stammered before letting out a muffled scream out of frustration, nearly making the other girl laugh. "Frida, I want to hang out with you. Not Leo, you. You and your stupid face with pink lips and your neat dresses ironed by your mom."
It was suddenly Frida's time to be silent. Her mouth fell open as she stared at the tile floors, processing the words. "...Okay," she mumbled after her name was said twice, "okay, uh, we can... we can hang out. I just have church, uh, today."
Diane groaned again. "Just sneak out of church, you hate it."
Frida quietly laughed. "My parents would kill me, they're trying to get me healthy through prayers." She closed the phone book and put it to the table she was situated next alongside her stool. "I'm available after one."
"Mmm, meet me at the mall, one thirty?"
"Which mall?"
"The one we like. Southland, or whatever."
The floorboard creaked on the staircase several times and Frida's head turned quickly. "Uh- yeah, sure, uhm- I've got to go, I'll see you later, stay safe."
Diane hung up quickly before the other girl could. Frida sighed and got up, walking past her younger brother as she headed upstairs to get dressed. He shoulder checked her and she bumped him back.
--------------------------------------
The red car drove away as Frida got closer to the mall doors, readjusting her hold on her purse. She walked inside and headed towards the food court, humming under her breath. Once she got there, she walked around for a bit and saw Diane at a table. She smiled softly and walked over, sitting down across from her as she was folding up her bandana. It wasn't frequent you'd see Diane Locklear without her bandana.
"Hi, Fri," she muttered, now focusing on tying the bandana around her head.
"Hey. How'd you get over?"
"Asked a friend who needs to pay me back."
Frida nodded, resting her arms on the table. "Neat."
Diane looked up and smiled gently, dropping her hands after pulling her bangs out from under the maroon cloth tied around her head. "How was church?" She asked.
Frida's jaw tensed and she looked down, knocking her knuckles on the table. The white dots clouded her vision again. "I got a really bad headache and the priest thought a demon had entered my brain," she confessed. "It's sort of gone now but... hm."
Diane furrowed her eyebrows. "No fuckin' way."
"Yeah."
"That's bullshit! You ain't able to control that!"
"I could've. How are you doing?"
"I wanna get high."
Frida shook her head in disappointment. She glanced over to the nearby food places, squinting. She gave up after a while. "I can't see, what's good around here?"
Diane reached over and patted her arm. "I'll get you something. Whaddya want? Sugar? Sweet? Salty?"
"Sugar and... I don't know, just something good. I don't feel too good. Here-" Frida reached into her purse but the other girl was already gone. She sighed and put her arms back on the table, tapping her foot as she zoned out.
About five minutes later, Diane came back with with a parfait and a smoothie and her own food. She gave the parfait and smoothie to Frida. "Hope that works."
Frida stared at the parfait before laughing quietly. "I- wow, thanks," she whispered. "Where's a spoon?"
Diane looked around after sitting down before pulling one out of her pocket and handing it over, earning herself another laugh. "I was goin' to put it in my bandana but... mmm," she shrugged. "Is that okay?"
"Yeah, it's- it's really good," Frida reassured her, opening up the parfait cup and taking the spoon.
"Good, good. Did you want to walk around after this?"
"Oh, yes please! I'd never reject that."
"Darling, I know."
Frida paused with her spoon halfway to her mouth before ignoring it and continuing on with eating. Diane went on to start chattering and complaining about her parents. She wasn't exactly in the right, the taller girl thought.
--------------------------------------
Diane watched Frida talk excitedly as they sat in the park. The mall had gotten boring, so they left and found a small park, soon finding a bench to sit down on. She watched as her dark eyes sparkled a little, sometimes glancing down at her lips. She had to peel her gaze away a few times just to look at strangers walking past, running a hand over her bracelets.
"...ane? Diane? Are you listening?" Frida got her to refocus.
"Yeah, sorry, you just speak a lot so I tune it out," Diane drew out some of her words, tilting her head.
Frida scoffed and smiled. "Unbelievable. You're unbelievable!"
Diane tsk'd, frowning. "Are you able to get me a ride home?"
"Er- my parents don't... uh... not big fans of you."
"Please?"
Frida thought about it before sighing. "I'll ask."
Diane grinned. "Thank you."
"Of course, babes. Now as I was saying-"
Diane quietly sighed and shook her head as she listened to the other girl start her ramble.
--------------------------------------
The two stood outside the front yard as the red car drove away again. Frida decided she'd walk home, it wasn't too far, anyways. She needed to walk, too. Diane lived in a nice neighborhood, though small houses. Her family's house was nice though bland, the front garden was colourful with flowers and an assortment of items.
"Are you sure you won't get in trouble? I mean... are you also sure you won't get hurt? I don't think scaling a wall to your bedroom is a good idea," Frida asked gently, smoothing out a wrinkle in her dress.
"I'll be fine, Fri-Fri. You don't have any trust in me or something?" Diane asked, tilting her head.
"Not... uh... not really. You're sort of a klutz."
"Wooooww."
"It's not in a rude way!"
"Sure sounds like it."
Frida gave up and shook her head. Diane took a deep breath. "I... Frida."
"What?"
"...I love your dress."
"Thank you."
Diane nodded. Her eyes flickered down once more. "You should get going."
Frida nodded. "Yeah. It was fun going out, I wouldn't mind doing it again," she said warmly. She sort of gave off the good grandma vibes who bakes.
Diane laughed and nodded once more. Neither of them moved for little bit before she turned around and headed towards the side of the house. Frida waved bye and started walking away.
Diane silently watched her go and dropped her shoulders with a sigh. "Could've fuckin' told her, Jesus Christ, Diane," she muttered before starting her plan of getting up into her bedroom.
She ended up getting caught and wasn't able to leave her room unless for dinner for the next few weeks.
Miserable.
HAHA YOU DONT GET A KISS. YOU GET YEARNING. okay bye request doomed yuri fics or like. Any fics. I might write more
