Nothing really compares to the bread from a small local bakery, because, I still remember those days when life felt heavy and I needed something simple just to lift myself a little, so I would walk to the nearest bakery and buy low-cost bread while the smell of freshly baked dough filled the air and somehow, that made my chest feel lighter for a moment.

I would stand there looking at the shelves with many kinds of bread neatly placed in rows, choosing based on whatever caught my eye, thinking that, maybe something small like this could interrupt the weight I was carrying that day.

And then once I got it, I would take a bite and realize halfway that the bread was already stale, a bit dry and tough, and instead of feeling disappointed, I would end up laughing to myself quietly because life was already giving me enough problems and even the bread decided to join in.

But still, in strange way it helped me, because even if the bread was not perfect; going that bakery, smelling the bread, choosing something, and sitting with it gave me a short break from my thoughts, and sometimes that was enough to make the day feel a little less heavy.
