The Quest continues...
Attention Citizens!
Rest assured that the whalehunter does not fight alone.
Today he is joined by the rather-ironically-named-given-the-subject White Knight!
The WK (for short) was recently out and about and spotted a plate with LNCHMOB.
I mean.....
honestly.Â
what in the name of actual fuck Alberta PL8 people?
Still, like any good, proud, knight, our WK promptly contacted us to figure out what to do. We directed her to the appropriate venue and, behold, the exchange.
(by the way, anyone else find that the application of privacy laws to a publicly displayed license plate is a little, you know, odd?)
Edit: oh. yeah. apparently *I* noticed and posted this PL8 almost two years ago.
At the time I said "(Yes, I know it could say 'lynch mob’…but I can’t imagine they’d let anything like that on a plate)"
I guess I was drunk. again.
honestly.

Good morning,
I was recently driving in Calgary behind an SUV with the plate "LNCHMOB" (ie lynch mob).
It is entirely inappropriate for the Alberta government to issue a plate with such a racist and offensive term. I was under the impression that such an offensive plate is not permitted, please correct me if I am wrong.Â
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Regards,
