so the whole thing with Luci being genuinely shitty to Decker. Being sexually pushy after she’s said no very clearly, blowing her cover, pointing the limelight at her literally and saying she won’t have sex with him which looked very much like public shaming, not taking responsibility for blowing her cover. Then, humanising the guy behind an ideology that genuinely harms people, and making the harmed woman the bad guy. THEN, ‘the boy likes you and that’s why he bullies you double standard excuse’ in some weird echo of Luci’s hugely inappropriate behaviour. And then her daughter explicitly pairing Decker and Luci together because she shot him. YIKES!

They MADE Decker say she was never going to sleep with Luci. They HAD her say that, but then they frame the terrifying moment when she thought the devil was in the room with her (so terrifying that it makes her paranoid and slink around her own house with her gun in hand) they frame it deliberately as some kind of romantic in.

I shipped them at episode 1 but if they’re gonna play it shitty like this. Now if she ever does get a relationship with him and sleeps with him it’s the good ol trope of the male lead always getting the girl bc that’s just how it is and he deserves it and if you just KEEP AT IT you will get her.

but the metaphysical and psychological aspect of Luci is apparently more complex than caring about someone = human now cry about it. so that might make this series worthwhile still.
