Fear is a tricky thing. It can come at a moments notice and take on many many forms. I was afraid this Sunday when I decided to take a hike at Bledsoe State Park. Just afraid I wouldn’t be able to do the full 3 mile trail like I used to be able to about 60 lbs lighter. I was afraid of painful reminders that I had slipped from where I once was, and couldn’t get back. I felt like I was caged in this irrational fear. About 15 to 20 minutes into the hike came the trail split that would take me back to the rangers lodge, and the other split that took me all around the park grounds. My body felt warm and loose and determination struck. For the next hour and a half I went up every hill and down every slope that hike had to offer. Taking my sweet time and taking in the beauty of nature and the pleasant weather. I had broken from the cage that fear had made around me in the beginning. Fight past the fear that keeps you locked in place. That’s how you make beautiful changes in life. #liveuncaged #fightfear #mindfulprogress
