You guys, I am feeling so thankful. When I look back at where I started - a depressed, stressed out, heartbroken woman dreading her 30th birthday - and compare it with where I am today… Wow. Let’s just say that my old friend Tumblr did it for me again. It helped me get through another dark period in my life. But the blog isn’t the only reason I am where I’m at today. In addition to writing, I also moved my feet. I made connections, I reached out, I made things happen. @wanderingrobin76 has become a friend - even though we have never met in person - I know she is someone I can reach out to if I ever need some advice. She gets what I’ve been going through, because she’s going through some of it herself. Also, Robin introduced me to the Good Luck Fortune Company. I feel like the fortunes have had such an impact on my life lately. So, imagine my surprise when just around the time I made my big decision to be in charge of my own destiny, I saw a Tweet that Good Luck Fortune Company has an open position! It felt like serendipity and like everything had aligned perfectly, so I decided to apply. The job description says that one of the preferred locations is the city I live in, so it would be perfect for me! I can work my dream job at a company I have come to love - and still take care of my mom. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I only just applied. But I am optimistic and hopeful. Even if I don’t get this particular job, I know that this is only the start of my journey towards a better life. And, for the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to what my 30′s will bring!  Â
