Liv Vs Dor comeback

And the signings are not stopping! Firmino! A brazillian international.

First off, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!  I hope this post finds you well and happy and hopefully spending time with family if you are lucky enough to be in America and getting school/work off. 

I will be celebrating myself with my little english family tonight and I cannot wait to make all the american classics. In honour of thanksgiving I have decided to make this post about all the fun social things I have been doing with my english family so far this year. 

First up I have a small confession. Remember back on Monday when I said I was overwhelmingly busy? Well that IS true, but one of the things I have been busy doing is having a few get-togethers here and there with friends. Here are a few on my snaps from our hang sessions:

Secondly, we have had a couple birthdays in our flat (although mine was one and we never ended up doing anything about it, whoops!) and we have another coming up. Birthdays don’t seem to be a big thing here, apart from people drinking themselves silly, but I have tried my best to make my buddies’ birthdays as fun as possible.

We have also had a couple of holidays as well. Firstly was halloween, which again is not very celebrated here (apart from people drinking themselves silly!) but most people do dress up. One of my housemates, Louis, and I went to the LJMU halloween climb with the climbing society and it was ‘fancy dress’ as they call it here. I have gone climbing a few times this year and am enjoying getting back into my old shoes. We had a good time and I got some good photos as well. This year for halloween night Tom and I went as characters from Pokemon and made the costumes ourselves which was good fun. We had a couple friends over then we raided the apartment next door and made some new friends before heading to bed. Unfortunately I had to be up early for my trip to Portmeirion with the Travel Society which I mentioned yesterday, but we still had a fun time and I even carved pumpkins this year (the boys were too lame to join in). 

A few days later we came to bonfire night, which reminds me of 4th of July in the states. That is mainly because of the fireworks and patriotic history behind it. This year we actually went out and saw the fireworks as it wasn’t raining and we live quite close to the park where the show was held. The fireworks were great and I felt like it made up for the fact that I missed 4th of July this year.

So far that’s been about the extent of my social life as I am constantly on the go but I have had a great time hanging with my english family, and I cannot wait to eat, drink and be merry with the crew tonight.
