What a dramatic end to what has been a fantastic group stage period of the 2026 FIFA World Cup! Well done to all the 32 teams that have gone through and all the best in the knockouts.
To the 16 teams going home, you have achieved what 163 other countries couldnโt do, and that is playing in a World Cup. Your dreams came true and at this point, results mean little. You can say: โI played for my country in a World Cup.โ And the people can say โMy country played in a World Cup.โ And nobody will take that from you. Ever.
The football that was played so far, is what makes the World Cup so special. โค๏ธ
