spare a thought for this poor naive Lithobius who, in its panic and hubris, allowed itself to be scooped up by a leaf and dangled in front of me so i could get a look at its ridiculous face and forcipules. no more running for you, let alone scuttling or even skittering

[This bug was alive in both photos]
What kind of centipede is this? Located near Seattle, Washington :]
I'm glad you specified it's alive! I'm definitely not amazing at IDing little brown centipedes, but I imagine Lithobius sp. Centipede people feel free to tell me if I am so so wrong.
I find scorpions and these little stone centipedes in my garage everywhere during summer but I’m not complaining at all, they’re too cute.
Centipedes (Class Chilopoda)

A centipede! I have no idea what kind centipede this man is, simply that he is a centipede! Potentially apart of the genus Lithobius

Bug of the Day
A stone centipede (probably Lithobius forficatus, the brown centipede, a European introduction) that I spotted on the foundation of my house last July. I wish they weren’t so shy about the flashlight, it makes them challenging to photograph.
