A Curse of Blood & Stone by K.A. Tucker My rating: 4 of 5 stars The book picks up right where the first one left off and I loved the second book more than the first. With the characters on the run we get a lot of movement and we learn more about the world which provided a lot of back story that was needed. Romeria's character continues to grow as she tries to learn her new abilities. We continue to see her struggle to fight for what she believes is right and prove herself again and again. We get more of her quick remarks and sassy personality which is what I love about her. I feel like she knows when to push and she is learning when silence is best. Her internal dialogue is everything!!!!! In this book you get some glimpses of Zanders point of view and it was a great addition. He continues to struggle to follow his heart and the dreams he has for his people. On the flip side he also has to play the part that people expect of him but those view points definitely collide. Zander did frustrate me sometimes in this book because of that. You are King just decide :) The romance in the book is frustrating but in a good way. With Zander confused and feeling betrayed too many times it has been hard for him to move forward with Romeria. So the will they won't they is AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I am also falling in love with a few of the side characters. I am loving all the moments with Jarek, Elijah, Pan, and Eden. It just builds the story more and flushes out the circle that Romeria has slowly been building. Some tropes you will find: 🌟Magic 🌟Witty Banter 🌟Friendship 🌟Fighting 🌟Vampires 🌟More Slow Burn Then comes the cliffhanger!!!! Ready for the next one. View all my reviews
