I made it through 2 seasons I think of Jane the Virgin and then got bored. Have done multiple rewatches of The West Wing. Alias I own but only watched when it was airing. I forget how many season of GB I watched while airing. Not all of them for sure.
What Iâve seen of JtV has been so much fun; Iâd really like to get back into it (but Iâve also been spoiled for parts of it too). West Wing just feels like itâll take so much to watch - I tend to gravitate towards more passive viewing these days.Â

Jane the Virgin is great. I haven't watched the final season yet. I'll re-watch the series on Netflix first.
Iâd say letâs do a group re-watch but Iâm also really bad with those.Â

Artie Abrams: A film that reflects who I am
Terminator 2 because of Sarah Connorâs drive to protect her son. For everyone else it seems like the movies were just an action film and Arnold and the Terminators and Skynet were what the movies were all about. For me, the franchise, including the TV series, has always been about Sarah Connor. She transformed herself into what she had to for her son and the fate of the world. She paid for dearly for it too in multiple ways. Sheâs my favorite roll model.Â
Another one is âRunning on Empty.â In particular, Arthur Popeâs last line to his son, âNow go out there and make a difference.â Itâs one of the quotes I have hanging up in my house. I may not always live up to it, but damn, itâs a powerful message.Â
Burt Hummel: A piece of advice
Fuck the haters and be proud of your uniqueness and who you are. I know itâs a very hard thing to do. I just hate that until the day my abusive mom died when I was 18, my entire life had been her, my siblings, and most of the people at school telling me how horrible I was for being an introvert, for being âweirdâ - not like everyone else, for being different and not doing everything I could to fit in, for liking science fiction, for liking to read and write. There was not one single thing my mom didnât hate me for. It wasnât until I was in my mid-20â˛s that I was able to shake that off and say âfuck itâ to her and the world. (Though, J who talked to me in the hallway of a hotel we were all staying at during a drama club/theatre competition who told me that being an introvert wasnât a bad thing at all. I will forever be grateful to you. I was 16 and had never been told that once, nor that I was a good person.) I still have a lot of self hate, but Iâve come to mostly love my uniqueness. Iâm a GOOD PERSON. Iâm extremely intelligent. Iâm kind. And fuck those who think that loving sci-fi is weird and odd. (For you younger folks, back in the 70â˛s & 80â˛s, it was NOT an acceptable thing at all. Not where I grew up at least.) So, anyway, thatâs my advice - learn now that the haters can go fuck themselves. You be you because youâre awesome and if they canât see that, then thatâs their problem, not yours.Â
