LIP$HA/KE$HA/RCA RANT
Okay So as we know the release of Lip$ha was cancelled Now I've been waiting for the album ever since "2012" I always thought those two should do an album When it was announced I was more then excited Ke$ha is my favorite artist, I was obsessed with "2012" and "Past Lives," and I was just ready for it But when it was cancelled I did some investigation on why it was canceled Turns out it was RCA's decision I honestly feel like they are trying to ruin Ke$ha Main points: - Crazy Kids was the third single. But not just that, will.i.am made a guest appearance. Now, I love the album version of Crazy Kids passionately, but will.i.am ruined what was the best verse of the song. I DREADED listening to it on the radio just because he was on it. But Ke$ha wanted "Last Goodbye" to be the third single. But NOOOO will.i.am makes EVERYTHING better No surprise the song flopped. But who would blame the almighty will.i.am? Nobody. They all blamed Ke$ha. So Warrior will have no more singles. - Machine Gun Love was never released. That song was a favorite to all animals. I loved the song dearly. But the label said is wasn't pop enough. They are pushing her so far in the box of pop they want her to be just like Britney and Madonna. I like Britney but she's a stereotype. She's WAY too pop. She doesn't stand out. Ke$ha is a standout in pop music. She's different. And people love her for that. But RCA doesn't. They want her to fit in. - Warrior had horrible promotion. Now that isn't all together RCA's fault but they play a big role in it by not letting Ke$ha choose the singles. Die Young tore the charts up but as soon as the school shootings started, they pushed her in the box. C'Mon flopped as the second single, went completely unrecognized. They blamed her. So what did they do? Made sure the promotion was minimal. There was one official promo single and it wasn't even on the actual album. It was a song from "Deconstructed." No YouTube adds. No commercials. Nothing. Then Crazy Kids flopped worse then C'Mon. I have a feeling the next album will be so pop people will hate it They are trying to discard her and I'm scared for her career right now. I think she should leak Lip$ha and quit RCA Or take Lip$ha to another label and release it there All RCA will do is harm her career until it's completely dead
what the fuck is up with dr. luke not letting ke$ha be herself and produce her own music. he has her on the tightest fucking leash possible and it's not fair to her or her fans. this is so fucking disappointing.Â
No More Lip$ha
The Flaming Lips and Ke$ha had supposedly been working on a collab album for a while, and I was unreasonably excited to see what these two creative geniuses (that's right i called ke$ha a creative genius, try to fight me on it) were going to come up with. But then Wayne Coyne decided to crush all my dreams this morning when he tweeted that it's no longer happening. (Then he proceeded to retweet a bunch of tweets from sad and whining fans, who knows why). It's bad enough that we were presented this news in such a brief and cryptic way, but what may be worse is that the tweet started with "As of now," meaning I'm going to desperately hold onto hope for them to pick up and follow through with this project in the future.
