Everyone telling you to ditch windows for Linux is not being cool or edgy or contrarian. They're doing it because windows sux as an OS and it's only going to get worse.
Some personal examples from switching to linux:
More space (windows has a lot of bloat)
No ads
Preferences/settings persist from session to session
No ads
Looking for software doesn't require a credit card or send me to a store
Definite lack of ads
Setting up machine takes minutes and doesn't require personal information
I have forgotten what ads look like
Alternative programs to save money on subscriptions (FreeTube instead of yt premium)

Flexible for any setup or workflow

Allows the user to make the most of their hardware
Boots up and restarts faster; generally faster with the same hardware
