something that i don’t really like in botw’s worldbuilding is the weird lack of other races in most areas. like, hylians are pretty much everywhere and you’ll see the occasional gerudo traveler (or a goron if you’re by death mountain) but there’s only like 2 rito npcs outside of their village and no zoras at all. like, for the rito, kass specifically mentions that he’s able to travel around so much because he has wings. logically, that would mean that rito travelers would be fairly common, but they’re not… and for the zora i guess you could make the argument that they can’t survive without being near water like in twilight princess, but also like do you know how many rivers there are in hyrule. not to mention the fact that we know zoras can survive in saltwater because there’s a historical account of prince sidon going to lurelin village. like, here’s a map of everywhere that a zora could travel if we use that logic. it’s like half of hyrule
