i wanna do an open ended survey for how people internationally interpret emojis/emoticon/kaomoji/etc or internet grammar except I’d have NO idea how i’d design it,,,,bc even between english speaking countries, the emojis can mean different things and if you’re translating something, how’re you gonna accurately convey the concept?? the tone???

Funfact time! The correction from “councilwoman” to “councilperson” actually works better in the German version, because lots of people are still using the generic masculine, so the correction was from “Stadtrat” (masculine) to “Stadträtin” (feminine) which makes much more sense. I highly doubt they really wanted to go all “Did you just assume their gender?”, so this is more fitting. German is also lacking more neutral terms, but hell, we don’t even have feminine terms for everything, so we shouldn’t ask for too much, lol.
