Bart and Thad, texting each other rapidly, they're in an argument. Occasionally Bart looks at him and yells something in Interlac and throws something at him. Everyone thinks it's something serious.
They're just arguing over how to spell words in Interlac in the Roman Alphabet.
boop is a very wholesome and ineffably fundamental onomatopoeia
i wanna do an open ended survey for how people internationally interpret emojis/emoticon/kaomoji/etc or internet grammar except Iâd have NO idea how iâd design it,,,,bc even between english speaking countries, the emojis can mean different things and if youâre translating something, howâre you gonna accurately convey the concept?? the tone???
Funfact time! The correction from âcouncilwomanâ to âcouncilpersonâ actually works better in the German version, because lots of people are still using the generic masculine, so the correction was from âStadtratâ (masculine) to âStadträtinâ (feminine) which makes much more sense. I highly doubt they really wanted to go all âDid you just assume their gender?â, so this is more fitting. German is also lacking more neutral terms, but hell, we donât even have feminine terms for everything, so we shouldnât ask for too much, lol.

Btw, now that I'm thinking about it:
Could you tell me if I'm ever using AAVE? English isn't my mother tongue and I can't always tell if the words I've picked up aren't for me to use.
Thanks!
