Just beware of the crocodiles The Lingadzi River is flowing through the north part of the capital Lilongwe, ending in the Lilongwe river. Access to streams and rivers was the origin source for water and start of settlement in the area. Various streams and rivers are visible in parts of the city, but as the city grows, you sometimes have to go looking for them. Following the main river downstream, it flows into Lake Malawi. I found this sideriver visiting the Wildlife Center where they building a learning and caring hub. Together with animal rescue efforts, and sheltering of some indigenous flora, it is a nice and rough place to explore nature in the city. This walking track with information displays is an easy access to wildlife and terrain. Very close, infact: Some 50 meters away from this sign was one sign warning about crocodiles in the river.
