An ArtFight revenge for @cnwgraphis 💙 Had a lot of fun with this and I'm super proud of some things I accomplished here!

I won’t lie. Zekrom almost made me give up. The designs is deceptively simple, they’re just white and black this time. Oh and those annoying patterns in gen 3 and 4? They’re gone too! By all means, these should’ve been the easiest legendaries to draw, and Reshiram was. Zekrom was lined with these contours all over their body that makes any proportional change stick out like a sore thumb. It also didn’t help that I had trouble figuring out the shape language of Zekrom as I personally really liked individual pieces of em but their silhouette just has rectangles of limbs sticking out. Reshiram’s more organic body made them a whole lot easier to draw out. Only generation 2′s legendary pair has been this different from each other so far as gen 3 and 4 leaned into the pair having matching patterns and eyes. Now this duo does have the similar body shape with the conical turbine tails, but the details on each are much more different. I hope having complex geometric shapes aren’t a requirement for legendaries as I enjoy Reshiram’s simpler look and find myself having more fun drawing them more than I did for Zekrom. Gee, I hope the later generations aren’t more detailed and geometric, what? Gen 9′s legendaries came out?
