Ok yall hear me out
A borrower gets brave one night and decides they want a closer look at the human of the house. So they climb up onto their chest to get a good look at their face for a bit, then leave. It's addicting, the adrenaline rush, the sight of every miniscule detail in the human'a face.
So they return night after night, getting braver each time. One night, a while later, they even poke around at the human's mouth a little. The only thing the borrower didn't realize was that the human was awake for every single encounter, they just didn't let it show, letting the borrower do their thing. However, tired of their sleep being interrupted so frequently, the human decides to reveal that they're not, in fact, asleep and unaware. So they sit up, pick up the borrower, tell them that they both need to rest, and swallow them down.
Borrower is pretty freaked out but calms down eventually once they realize they're not going to get hurt, though they're still definitely nervous.
