Mia picked up her clutch from the bedside table and walked down the stairs. She directed a soft smile at the maid cleaning there before leaving the house, her car and driver already waiting for her just outside the building. Once she walked out, she tightly wrapped her leather coat around her: winter in Seoul was being colder than ever and Mia wouldn't be surprised if it started snowing any moment now. She got into the car, sighing happily at the warmth invading the automobile. As the car moved through the streets of Seoul, Mia observed the city: there was less than a month left for Christmas and everything was already decorated for the festive season. She remembered then that she had to start planning her flight back to New York for Christmas, where she always spent Christmas Eve and Day with her parents and her brother. She didn't get to spend much time with her family during the Holidays, though, her parents always organizing charity events and seasonal parties that she had to attend as she was the daughter of the hosts. Thank God her brother was always there with her.Ā
She arrived at Gangnam a few minutes later, the neighbourhood bustling with people shopping or simply walking. Mia got off the car and gave directions to her driver to go and enjoy some free time while she shopped a little. He directed her a soft smile before going back to the car. With her almost permanent poker face, she started walking down the main street, gazing at some store windows in search of something that caught her attention. A beautiful leather bucket bag did so a few moments later. Without a moment of hesitation, Mia walked into the store, immediately looking around in search of the said bag. Her eyes got caught in the shop assistant right behind the counter, though: could it be...? Still not sure if she was the person she thought it was, Mia made her way to the counter, eyebrows slightly furrowed. "Yuri, Yuri Yukimura?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.Ā
