"What if it startsth raining? Where will we go?" Having been caught in the rain more then once she had no desire to get soaked. Even worse if it turned into a storm.
Now that she thought about it they always seemed to hangout outside did he even have anyplace to go?
The prince’s face pales a little at the child’s words. His hand is clenched around hers as they walk through the forest but the sky is growing dark and he was hoping to get to the next town over before the weather decided to change it’s mind. He can feel it in the air and if a storm hits then they’re both in trouble. If a storm comes, he’ll be worthless to her. Useless. If a storm comes, she’ll be the one taking care of him.
He doesn’t need her to see him in such a pathetic state so they just need to get to the next town over before that happens but they weren’t getting anywhere at this pace. If she was willing to trust him a little, he could fly them there but then again when he can feel the humidity in the air shifting flying was dangerous right now. If the sky decides to come to life while he’s in the air, it could take him right out of the sky and there would be no one to break their fall. He...He’ll pass on risking that - even more so with a child in his arms.
So now he’s squeezing her hand before he pauses for the moment to turn and kneel down to face her.
“Don’t worry, Tähdenlento. If the rain comes, we’ll find a place to get out of it. The trees are decent cover and if it comes to that you can stay close to me. If we keep walking for just a little longer, we’ll get to the next town and I’ll get us a place to stay there, okay? Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.”
