This is my best bud. Three years ago, after having eye surgery, she was diagnosed with a condition called megaesophagus (which basically means her esophagus no longer works). As you can imagine this caused all kinds of problems. I honestly did not think she would make it this long. But after many low points, tests, doctors, and different medications, it seems we found a good combo and she’s been doing well lately. She has to eat in a special chair that keeps her upright, and wear a donut around her neck. There is no cure, but I can’t tell you how rad it is to see her being her happy self lately, just hunting pinecones and sleeping in the sun. She’s a hyper lil freak, a total jock, and a friend to all.
