so after having a few run-ins and mishaps with his fellow next door neighbor, he asks for help from merida who almost refused, until he mentioned his kiddo. she then gives him a trial run as her barista in a small coffee shop (that she badly needs help to keep up but she won't admit it)

though she never expected for hiccup's kiddo to be a baby animal— a wild baby animal who shouldn't be in this small town in the first place
