Okay, look. I’m pretty confident now about her survival, although some days I get super anxious, but I think that’s a more irrational than rational fear tbh. When I think about it cold-headed and weigh the pros against the cons, I think the odds are on our side.

 “A Song of Ice and Fire” is about the journey of two heroes, Dany and Jon. If Dany dies, she would just be part of Jon’s journey. Another woman in literature who serves as a prop for a man to get complete his hero arch. Wow. Of course, it could happen (I mean that’s the way it usually is right), but you have to consider that their fates are tied together, as the symbology as shown us throughout the show, so the way I see it, if one lives, the other one lives…and if one dies, the other one dies. But I’m pretty sure Jon will live in the end. So that keeps my hopes up about Dany too.

Also, always, always, keep in mind that GRRM said that the ending will be “as bittersweet as happy”, not just “bittersweet”. If Dany dies, it would be a pure tragedy, not bittersweet. Jon would live, yes, but he’d lose the love of his life yet again(considering that he used to see Ygritte that way back in the day), he’d be miserable till his last breath. There’s nothing as bittersweet as happy in there.

There are a bunch of additions by rainhadaenerys that are super super super good and I strongly advise you to read it. If you’re freaking out, this can totally calm you down!

When it comes to dark!Dany, I’d say I’m 100000% sure it won’t happen. Yes, some characters are criticizing her for her impulses (as if she were the only who’s done those things smh), but as Jon said, they don’t know her. Jon fell in love with her when he saw how selfless and good she was in 7x06–when he knew her. So I’d tell you to trust the one who truly knows her. They’re introducing this plot for her to later prove to the Northerners that she’s selfless and puts her people first and all these things that she’s done a million times but she’ll have to do it yet again bc it seems like the North (and the audience) need to be reminded of this constantly. And please, consider all the times that Dany has smiled in 8x01! If anything, it shows that love’s making her softer and happier, not meaner.
