I know. I know. Wild.

But think about it.

It would be a few years after the Naraku business, so- in between Inuyasha and Yashahime. It would have to be in order to fit this headcannon lolol.

He would be out making the rounds one evening maybe on a flight with Kirara or something, and stumble upon some demons lurking around the half-demon camp. He would not know that this place would exist yet, not until this night, and even then he would only learn the existence of 3.

He would see these demons that'd be going after some children and would jump in and kill the demons with a few swoops of his weapon. He would have distracted them long enough for the rather odd looking children to suddenly run unto an invisible barrier.

Kohaku would pause, barely seeing them as they would dissappear. He would observe where they vanished, but he wouldn't suspect a sudden older girl to emerge with a threatening look in her eye and her powers emerging from her hands.

His eyes would stare into a girl with long light colored hair and lavender colored eyes. "What do you want?" Her voice would be strong. She would hide her fear well as she would stand in a fighting stance.

"N-nothing!" He would honestly admit. "These demons were preying on some children and I-" the children would peak out.

"Y-you..." she would speak as her eyes would soften at this random guy's confession. "You did that?" She would point to the dead demon carcasses.

"Y-yes. I was just trying to help." He would be quite frazzled.

She would back away from him with a suspicious look. He has the strength to harm her, yet he does not do so.

"A-are you okay?" His question would confuse her. "Are these your kids?" He would see them peak out from the barrier.

She would not answer. Her eyes would be quite intense as she would bear into his soul. He would not be evil, but an ordinary human. She would be grateful, but she would stay careful.

Her... gorgeous lavender eyes would stare into him, and they would almost hit him like a trance. He wouldn't exactly know how to react, but man were they pretty. He wouldn't be able to look away from her; he wouldn't even blink.

"Goodbye." Her voice would speak before she would swiftly turn her back to him. "Let's go, children."

"W-wait-" His voice would seem act of its own accordance, causing her to peak behind your shoulder. She would not be accustomed to speaking to anyone outside of her home, but this one would compel her. He would be a human, but he would not be threatening to harm her or the children she would find on her possession. She would not have seen such kindness from humans since....

She would not wait for him to speak, but instead would march on, gently guiding the children safely behind the curtain of the veil.

Kohaku would stare in wonderment in the same spot for a long time, and she would stare back, knowing that he would not be able to see her. They would seem to stare into one another for a long time....

...She would see him from time to time, roaming here and there, fighting some demons as time would go by. It would probably be months before he would get to spot her again, and it would only because she would let him.

She would find time by herself every so often, and she would decide to meet him in secret, sheepish to speak, but there would he a growth of trust built, especially after she would tell him of her only other friendly encounter with humans involving a half demon and a priestess in her childhood.

They would then learn that they would have more in common than they would ever understand.

He would keep this little secret to himself for a long time, refraining from telling anyone about his odd, yet memorable encounter with the lovely woman with the lavender colored eyes. He would never be able to stop thinking about her, and neither would she.

For all we know, he could be the reason why Rin and Sesshomaru would learn of the camp of half-demons. I dunno I just thought it was cute.
