“Myarel,” the Governor says, attempting to catch the attention of the other as he jogs to catch up to the man. “I just- just wanted t’say thank you for taking me in. You’ve got a lovely family here, and if it weren’t for you, who knows what would’ve become of me.”
He’s confident that he would have continued to survive, at least, but at what cost to his psyche? To his humanity? Questions that the Governor seldom liked to entertain with postulation or answers.Â
