Thought I uploaded this here - I guess not!
There's a dual meaning behind this picture, not just Pride and spreading your wings, to show the real you..
Likadee is using the paints of the original Pride flag. Which had Eight colours, not Six. The flag was crafted over a few days with thirty volunteers working on it. All different backgrounds, life stories and sexuality. But they all came together to make something important. Each colour all have very different and important meanings to the community.
Hot Pink: Sexuality, Red: Life, Orange: Healing, Yellow: Sunlight, Green: Nature, Turquoise: Art / Magic Indigo: Harmony/Peace Violet: Spirit. Hot Pink and Turquoise were removed from the flag once it became too costly to manufacture, once demand for the flag increased after Harvey Milk was assassinated. You can kill members of the LGBT+ community, but the community will never die. Whether you are straight, gay, Bi', trans, ace, the list goes on. Nothing can stop the march for freedom and acceptance.
