🖋️ do you have any acotar ocs who interact with beron? what does their relationship with him look like? if not, what would it look like if they interacted with him?
🔥 where does his villain arc end? who puts a stop to it?
Hey you! :) Thanks for the ask, @olenvasynyt! This is gonna get LONG:
🖋For one, there are my vansiblings Galen, Damien, Bran, Caspien, and Atticus who all interact with him in some way or another -
Galen adored his daddy and vice versa - Beron openly mourned Galen's death and constantly compared Eris to his younger brother growing up
Damien took a similar spot of affection when Galen died, though never quite to the same extent, nor was it returned as robustly. Beron especially cooled once Philoméne failed to give him grandchildren in a timely manner ("A century of marriage and you have nothing to show from it?!". Because he's not a monster, Damien was angry on his wife's behalf and they ended up moving closer to where she grew up, on the border of Summer.
Beron thinks Bran - the spare to the spare - is an idiot and washed his hands of him long ago, handing him over to his spymaster, Armitage. Bran's not (an idiot), but he's happy enough to work under him for his own reasons.
Next to Eris, Beron has the closest - and most push and pull - relationship with Caspien, his fifth son. Were he not born so frail, Caspien would be a legit contender for heir, and Beron makes sure to keep his son close and busy so he doesn't get any bright ideas like, oh, allying with his brothers or plotting patricide. He is Beron's personal magician, and the High Lord has invested a lot of time and money into his education.
Atticus was the spare to the spare to the spare to the spare. When Beron remembered he had a sixth son, he also remembered that Atticus wasn't the 'best' at anything when compared to his brothers and went back to paying him little mind. Atticus did a lot of what he did in life as a way to be noticed and, well. That didn't go well.
Danae, the only "claimed" bastard of his, has a very different set of experiences from her brothers. Beron openly dotes on her, to the chagrin of his wife and other children, and Danae likes the attention but also suspects that his motives aren't strictly out of paternal love (which would be right because he's gonna get so much money and prestige from marrying that girl off).
There are more, but this got long enough!
🔥You know... even though I'm writing a fic wherein Beron meets his end, I haven't decided whether it's Nesta or Eris that does him in. For the sake of the narrative, though, I want to say it'll be Eris, and it'll be with something sharp and pointy because I like the idea that they're all fairly resistant to one another's fire.

🪢 what was his relationship to his father? is he perpetuating cycles? is he breaking them for the better? for the worse?
I beg!!
Oh, @jon-snows-man-bun... thank you for the gift of this ask.
It was a very distant relationship, more or less. Beron was the youngest of three, with a significant age gap between him and his sister (the next eldest sibling). Given he was the spare, and the actual heir (his eldest brother) had children of his own who would theoretically be set to inherit, no one thought he'd get anywhere near the throne and honestly, his father more often than not forgot that he existed except when he needed to present the image of a family man for court. Beron determined that he would never be as distant with his children, should he have any - and he wasn't but uh, he was debatably worse. So I guess you could say that he broke one cycle, and started another?
(It's worth noting here that I HC some real GoT level shit here: Beron's brother orchestrated a coup against his father; his brother and family were dispatched by his uncle, and his sister and her family tried to take him only semi-successfully, in that they succeeded but died too. All of that planted some weird ideas about the concept of succession in his head.)

This might be controversial, but it’s about Helion and the Lady of Autumn
I honestly don’t understand why people want them to end up together after Beron dies. I’m sorry, but Helion doesn’t deserve her at all. Let the Lady of Autumn live her High Lord–free, manless life in peace.
Helion knew she was being abused in her marriage. They loved each other and carried on a secret relationship. Lucien being her youngest child means they were sleeping together while she was already married to Beron and had children and yet Helion never did anything to save her. Yes, I understand the political reasons, but that doesn’t sit right with me. She was “acceptable” for a forbidden affair, but not worth the risk of actually helping?
Even if we choose to overlook all of that, the moment Helion left with Mor while the Lady of Autumn was also in there and he saw her like I don't remeber hours ago?? Absolutely not. Girl, go live your life without him.
We also know how difficult pregnancy is in the fae world and she had how many children? I don’t even want to think about what that implies about her marriage to Beron.
ummm that Beron fic
Yes? Which Beron fic? I have ... four? Do you hate it? Love it? Tell me more anon, I need to know.

Who would you ship with Beron?
No one LOL.
I fear I've mistakenly given people the impression that I'm more into Beron than I am. Beron that appears in my Gods We Can Touch series is my proper interpretation of him. I pair him with various women throughout that universe - his first wife, LoA, and someone yall haven't met, but it's all to highlight his greed, cruelty, and ambition. He's a super fun character to write about because I know folks like him irl. But I don't actually wanna jump his bones lmao.
Whores Beron is jokey, and you'll find that even #1 does not actually want Beron.
Important research question that I have.
If Beron and Helion were to kiss, who would lean into the kiss first?
Helion
Beron
Question from Sleep Over Saturdays!
Fuck, marry, kill
King of Hybern
Rhysand
Beron
(I also have a second version of this if you want!)
One, I DO want. Two...
F - Beron. Fire in the blood and all that. I can always ghost him afterwards (and will).
M - Rhys. He sucks but at least I'd have like, 5 manor houses and I'd get to hang with Amren.
K - Hybern. Esp after learning what his niece and nephew are like. That family tree probably looks like a straight line, which. Yikes.
Ty, @sadlybluespirited !
