Rosa ‘Souvenir de la Malmaison’ is having her second flush since she is in the ground in my garden and I couldn’t be happier about it. Her very elegant, light pink, quartered, and fragrant blooms have become a little bigger than in the first flush, even though they still haven’t reached their final size, yet. She only had about ten flowers and after the thunderstorm and heavy rain yesterday morning the blooms that were pristine when I took this photo became a soggy mess. But you know what, I don’t care! I am growing roses in my brand new Austin garden and that is all that matters to me in the moment. I am overjoyed! The true rose lovers of you will understand.
