[ ★ ] “these are for me? you sure you’re not mistaking me for somebody else…?” nevertheless, he takes the bouquet from the miqo’te, eyes glued to the bright assortment. yeah, he was in front of the store for a while trying to decide on whether or not to actually buy them, but he wasn’t expecting anyone to be generous enough to get them for him!

So much has changed in all the time they hadn’t seen each other. So much, more so than can be seen by just how different they look now. Kliff looks like he’s been to hell and back, and Alm now looks as someone who never worked a day in their life, with that finery upon his shoulders.

Yet all those fine silks did not a raised noble make, and Alm finds himself pulling his old friend into a tight embrace at the words, tender and fierce all the same. “As did I, Kliff.” He can all but whisper, cheek pressed against his own, tears pricking at his eyes. “Gods, I’ve missed you.”

It’s hardly appropriate for a King, for his left hand to run through the other’s hair a little and for his hug to remain for so long, yet what made him withdraw was simply the desire to see his friend, to confirm that he stood before him and this wasn’t just some odd dream he had every so often of reuniting with those he had lost.

I’m a super shy person trying to write an extreme extrovert! Sometimes this helps because I can use Amon’s personality to butt into situations and do silly things I normally wouldn’t have the courage to do on my own. 

But really, I’m still very, very uncertain when it comes to trying to RP in game. I’m much more used to writing via Tumblr where I have time to think through my responses and consider my approach. It’s a different writing skill than being impromptu in game where I don’t want to make the other person wait tooooo long for my response. 

It also takes time for me to think up clever things for Amon, and doing it on the fly is much harder for me. I’ll type out something, then think of something better that I’d wish I’d written a little while later! XD
