Okay so this is gonna be a little long!!
I took a course on light composition and use of colour in literature and so basically seventeen *takes a deep breath*
the representation of 'fear' in colours : to show that fear exists in light as it does in dark. Though, only an absence of light is deemed a place where all our fears exist; when in reality, 'fear' - is only born in places we are comfortable in. (i.e. something ghastly seen in broad daylight, a common theme gothic literature authors such as henry james and stephen king use)
We are only afraid when something takes up our comfort zone, where we think we will remain unharmed. In this case, our comfort zone is the presence of light. Henceforth, the use of a gory insinuation, 'blood' on jeonghan's mouth in cool lighting and the absence of 'blood' in the absence of light, which is emphasised with the application of thermal red (juxtaposed with cooler tones to picturise darkness), depicts how 'fear' lurks in places where we least expect. In other words, seventeen are geniuses and I'm crying.
