But while I shared in the beauty of our inexplicable mirth being shared in our laughter, in our embrace, in our jokes, in our comfort, in the simplicity of our company, life was repainted over all of those moments bringing color, bringing peace, bringing a stillness to my soul. I feel seen. i feel believed in . i feel valued. i feel loved. i feel accepted. i feel trusted. i feel that i can be anything, and truly just be. i feel that i am given what it takes the task i must accomplish. the journey i must finish. the walk i must continue to walk. the light i must continue to see. and the air i must continue to breathe. i doubted life because i doubted a beauty after horror. after spending the most heart, mind, body and soul restoring month of my life, the immense joy, beauty, freedom, and love i continued to re-learn, re-grow, re-cultivate and re-experience daily came to a dismay. alas! the wounds that penetrated every edges of my soul did not kill me. there can be beauty after horror, and life after death no matter how horrendous the horror can be, and how horrifying death could be. resurrection, that is. this is what resurrection feels like. maybe this is what resurrection is. i feel like i’m ascending into the clouds. i feel like the tomb has been emptied. the womb has given birth- a new life. life from the womb to the tomb is made anew. love is what makes things new (life to death), gifting us with the hope of what will come one day and the faith to carry glimpses of what will be one day, today.
