And what about Luxembourg? The little one of the Benelux family ❤
Oh my! That pretty boy could be all mine 🤣
I suppose you are the "Belarus Ships Anon"? Should I call you Cupid Anon? 😋
Okay, let's see... I think Lux is the kind of character that would fall in love for someone older/ reliable or even a coworker (being that they work in perfect union), at least, that's how I imagine the ships below:
For LuxPort, I had the misfortune to read an unfinished fanfiction and never got over it (even if I do love Nedport, this is complicated 😂), and since then I do think they would fit each other, Port as the older guy and somehow reliable + likes to please their lover; MonaLux, in perfect union being it in work or in personal life, even if it isn't a burning love, it is a love that will last; LietLux, Liet is hardworking and if he develops romantic feelings for Lux, then he would be faitfull and loyal to his master (yes, Lux has one more than one side... as he can be needy, he can also be possessive of his belongings), as for Lux, respect and admiration is the start of his feelings; FraLux, another age gap in which France would have a lot to teach... and Lux is a eager learner; VietLux, Viet is another character that shows to be hardworking and has an adorable side, which seems the perfect ingredients for Lux to pursuit her, Viet would fall many times for his traps and his charm (I know that for a fact! 😂).
And there are many more ships that I would like to mention, but the manga doesn't give an opportunity for interaction with Romania, Czech Republic, Egypt, Turkey, Greece and China... and that limits imagination 🥲 LiechLux is a cute ship, but they are kinda too alike? Not sure how that would develop.

Summary: “You were staring," Belgium said.
“I wasn’t stari─”
“─Yes, you were,” his sister interrupted. “And you have been staring since the day France brought her to his home. Which was months ago. So, you better do something about it.”

─ February 1807 ─
“You’re not being very subtle, Louis.”
His sister’s amused voice startled Luxembourg and he nearly tripped over his own feet, making Belgium snort out a giggle.
“Huh? Wha─ Did you say something?”
Belgium rolled her eyes at him good-humouredly and steadied him by the hand she had previously tucked into the crook of his arm when they had decided on an afternoon stroll through the gardens at France’s house.
“I said that you were not being subtle,” Belgium repeated, her eyes drifting to the nation sitting at one of the many ornated benches, a book in hand.
Luxembourg could feel the tips of his ears heating up. “I─ Uhm, I─ I don’t know what you mean.”
Belgium arched an eyebrow, unimpressed at his feeble attempt of feigning innocence. “You were staring. It’s a good thing I had a hold on you or you would’ve definitely ended up in those rosebushes,” she said as she waved an arm towards the aforementioned shrubbery.
“I wasn’t stari─”
“─Yes, you were,” Belgium interrupted. “And you have been staring since the day France brought her to his home. Which was months ago. So, you better do something about it.”
Luxembourg looked puzzled, not understanding his sister’s meaning, “What do you mean, ‘I have to do something about it’? About what?”
“About your crush of course!” Belgium swivelled her gaze upward so she could look her little brother in the eyes. “Ugh, since when are you taller than me?” she added under her breath.
“It─ It’s not a crush─ I just think she’s nice. That’s all,” Luxembourg mumbled. “And I’m not that much taller than you. Yet.”
“Not yet, but you’ll probably rival our brother in a few more decades,” Belgium pouted but did not manage to keep her features in place for long as she had a proud glint in her eye. “And, yes, she’s nice, but how would you know? You haven’t even talked to her once!”
“I wouldn’t know what to talk about,” he replied. “I don’t think we have much in common.”
“You most certainly do,” Belgium countered. “Jan and I found you right at the time the count of Ardennes began the construction of Luxembourg Castle,” she said, “and Elise apparently came into existence when the last brick was laid in Liechtenstein Castle. I’d say that’s a pretty unique historical similarity.”
Luxembourg was silent and quirked an eyebrow, intrigued.
“So, let’s go talk to her!” Belgium exclaimed and guided him towards the seated nation, still stuck with her nose in her book, her braids softly moving in the summer wind.
He tried to protest and dig his heels into the ground, but Belgium ignored him and called out as they approached.
“Good afternoon, Elise!”
Liechtenstein looked up from her reading, squinting her eyes slightly to protect them from the sunlight. “Oh, guten nachmittag Marie!”
“You’ve met my brother, haven’t you Elise?” Belgium asked innocently as she yanked Luxembourg by the arm, so he was standing right in front of Liechtenstein.
Luxembourg could feel the heat from his ears spreading to the rest of his face and he wished that the ground would open up beneath his feet to swallow him whole. Sure, Belgium had just given him a subject he could talk about, but the fact of the matter was that he hadn't even seen a female nation before that wasn't his sister! Especially one as pretty as Liechtenstein. He didn’t know what to do!
A subtle nudge in his back from Belgium told him that he should at least greet her, so he belatedly mumbled out an, “Ah─ Uhm, gu─ guten nachmittag Elise.”
Another nudge from Belgium, implying to say more, and the silence that hung in the air had him panicking.
“Ni─ Nice weather we’re having today, right?”
“Oh mon dieu,” Belgium mumbled just loud enough for him to hear and a sudden jolt in his stomach made Luxembourg feel very queasy.
Liechtenstein didn’t seem to notice as she smiled even brighter than before. “Yes, it really is nice out.”
“Nice enough for an afternoon stroll, wouldn’t you agree, Elise?” Belgium came to her brother’s rescue.
Liechtenstein nodded. “Ja, I agree.”
“Magnifique!” Belgium laughed. “Louis and I were already enjoying a stroll as we speak, but I just remembered I haven’t yet prepared anything for France’s return. A courier came this morning with the news that he had secured a victory against Russia and is on his way home. I’m sure he would like it if a hot meal was awaiting him. Would you mind taking my place, Elise? I wouldn’t want my brother to feel abandoned.”
Luxembourg’s queasiness now felt like his stomach was doing flipflops. He tried to catch Belgium’s eye in the hopes of conveying to her that he was already feeling very much abandoned! He wasn’t a smooth talker like Belgium or France! And his brother Netherlands wasn’t exactly an expert on that particular topic either!
“Oh, of course. I wouldn’t mind,” Liechtenstein said and Luxembourg swallowed down whatever it was that was trying to escape his stomach.
Belgium patted Luxembourg on the back and turned to leave. “Heel goed! Have fun you two!”
And with a last encouraging wink she left her brother to his own devices, a catlike smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.
Oh, how he would have liked to strangle her right now.
Luxembourg’s hands were sweating, and he was sure his face was as red as the roses in the surrounding bushes by now. Thank God his hair covered part of his face and he was standing in the shade of a tree.
Liechtenstein cleared her throat. “So, uhm─”
The timidness of her voice made Luxembourg turn from Belgium’s retreating back to look at Liechtenstein. Was she… blushing?
“Where would y─ you like to go?”
Liechtenstein laid her book next to her and grabbed her skirts, crumpling the fabric as she did so. Her eyes were not exactly meeting his and Luxembourg now clearly saw that she was definitely blushing. Maybe she was as nervous about this as he was? That thought made the feeling in his stomach subside just enough for him to hold out his hand to her, his other hand behind his back and his head bowed lightly.
“H─ How about the pond?” he suggested and he waited anxiously for Liechtenstein to take his offered hand.
He had seen France do this many times before and he hoped the French side in him made sure he was mimicking the gesture correctly.
Liechtenstein looked from his hand to his face and Luxembourg was momentarily frozen in place, engrossed in the many colours the sun reflected in her eyes. God, she was beautiful. Luxembourg hoped she at least found him handsome, because if he would have to woe her with enticing conversation than that would be quite the impossible task. His mouth felt so dry at the moment he wasn’t really sure he would be able to talk much at all.
When Liechtenstein took his offered hand, Luxembourg felt like he had been struck by lightning, abruptly shocking him back to the present and making his heart beat faster than he had ever felt before.
“That would be lovely,” Liechtenstein said as she stood, and as they started walking their hands stayed wrapped together.
