A Long Post In Which I Ramble About Liverpool & My Anxiety
On June 18 2013, I got to visit Liddypool with my mum for my 16th birthday. My birthday is actually on August 13, but we lived in Germany at the time & would be moving back to the U.S. before my actual birthday - therefore it was easier to go early. I didn’t mind, since that meant we got to go on Paul’s birthday. I had the most amazing time there. We went on a Beatles taxi tour which involved us visiting The Casbah & Penny Lane & Strawberry Field & Stuart's grave & more. The tour guide and I are still friends and write to each other and such. Liverpool is seriously the greatest place on earth and I would give anything to go back. That’s actually why I’ve just sent in my first job application. I’m in college currently and could have had a job before now, but because of my anxiety I’ve always been too scared to get one (I live at home still so I don’t *need* to have one). However, now I’ve got a goal: Liverpool. If I get this job, and save up all of my paychecks, I’ll have enough to go back after about 12 weeks. This goal is enough motivation to face my fears and try something new. I pray it works. That place holds a magic like no other. If you’ve never gone, even if you’re not a Beatles fan, go. It’s the literal best. After my trip, which, if I save enough, will be about three or four days long, I’m hoping to start saving up (and preparing mentally) for my next big goal - attending LIPA, with hopes to get into the music business. Anxiety might rule over my life now, but I won’t let it rule over me forever. And you shouldn’t either. This life means too much to be wasted on worry. It’s not the fault of those of us that have anxiety that we have it - I know. But we can conquer it. It’s not permanent.
~raises sword in the air~ FOR LIVERPOOL!!! 💓 :’)
