Hi! Do you have any KRP’s that are more OlderGen friendly?

not sure if this will be posted, but i asked around with the members from the last season of love island and most of them are looking forward to another season. so to the admin interested in opening love island/perfect match, sooner rather than later would be good. the last roleplay closed prematurely and overall didn't meet everyone's expectations, so it would be nice to have another chance.

is it possible to have a group where unplotted drama is encouraged instead of against the rules? // in the current state of krp, i don’t believe this is possible. there’s too much blurring of ooc and ic for people to be entirely comfortable with that. gossip blogs further amplify those feelings and give an uncomfortable and unfortunate opportunity for repercussions that may be completely unwarranted. there is no space safe enough to allow this much in character immersion without someone entering the space, even with proper warnings, and getting their feelings hurt or being blindsided by unplotted issues.

about the unplotted drama, i honestly don’t think we should encourage it, but just say it’s allowed/like it has been. the amount of rps i’ve been in that unplotted drama caused issues and led to ic *and* ooc problems is insane. i believe encouraging it would only make it worse.

to the unplotted drama anon, i think most people prefer that to protect themselves. there are sadly some muns who cannot separate ic and ooc. because of this a lot of times unplotted drama can trickle ooc and cause issues. i also think organic development realistically includes arguments, misunderstandings, clashes of character, etc. and when these things happen i see it at as a point of growth for my muse to overcome. however some people interpret it as ooc attacks or take it personally. which is why you have to be careful!

To the anon about unplotted drama: I absolutely prefer the same. In my opinion, the best kind of roleplay is when everything isn't planned out and a lot of things happen organically. I will plot specific stories if it makes sense to, but I like to feel like I'm reading a book for the first time instead of knowing everything that will happen beforehand.

genuinely asking the community, is it possible to have a group where unplotted drama is encouraged instead of against the rules? for me, i like when things feel organic, i like being surprised by other people's muses acting crazy, and this is the norm in other types of communities i'm in. i totally understand *why* people have a preference toward plotting drama, but it's boring to me personally, so i was wondering if making an organic, chem-heavy, less plotting focused group is feasible? // i would love this! but you seriously don't know who's taking it to heart ooc, which is the whole issue. if you don't take it to heart, great! if i don't take it to heart, great! 99 people can be fine with it, but it only takes one bad egg to make the rp weird and i think that's why rps don't allow it. hope this makes sense because believe me, i'd love it too if people knew how to act!

my thoughts on unplotted drama are: you don't know everyone's triggers. having a blow up ic when they use rp to escape could have some real negative consequences on someone else's peace. even if the rules say no unplotted drama, some muns have something like 'ok with plotted drama' in their bios. while natural developing plots, even fights, feel more interesting to you, i think for the majority of roleplayers, we write to wind down or decompress or escape, and sometimes, that stuff is just not fun to be forced to navigate.
