✦ It's wedding season! What are the LI's roles in the wedding?

(For this one we are going to imagine a simple human uh...catholic-like wedding???? Western wedding??? Because it's what I'm most familiar)

✦ Amon: He drinks and dances until he gets absolutely wasted and someone has to get a taxi for him. In charge of reading something sweet (and fun) to congratulate the couple! He's sobbing every five minutes.

✦ Raeya: The one making sure everyone is behaving, checking that everything is absolutely perfect. Cries a little.

✦ Gael: The groom! (He low-key (or high-key) would love to marry human-style)

✦ Envy: Genuinely happy for his brother! They helped the couple choose the venue and he handled the preparations alongside the wedding planner. He tries to break out of his shell a little during the party.

✦ Ara: The flower girl! Also in charge of the wedding menu, and made the cake herself!

✦ Xal: Gael's best man :^)

✦ Father Pride: Leads Gael to the altar while bawling his eyes out.

✦ Lázaro: Bitch is not invited

Abraxas: As a human, there were a few men he found attractive, but it's never something he could safely explore. Nowadays, he's not really interested in anyone (other than a certain bat lady) but he knows he’s bi, he just wouldn’t use that label or any label at all

Circe: She only figured it out as a vampire. As a human, she didn't dare to linger on why she found some women attractive.

Dante: Someday just noticed that he's never interested in any of the women who flirt with him. Wasn't too much of a surprise to him. Iridis: Wasn’t even aware that people label sexualities. He’s always seen people as either interesting or not, and their gender and species never mattered. Nocturne: As a teen, she was too busy studying to date, but she had a crush on another girl and that's when it clicked for her that she's lesbian. Raoul: Noticed something was "off" as a young teenager, whenever others and his siblings tried to tease him for being "too close" to a girl. He couldn't follow along with those conversations, always instead being distracted by the boys around him.

Lincoln:

He’d be confused by the question, like “why would you be a worm. Did the Power turn you into a worm? Why a worm?” and eventually you’d be like “sheesh man never mind. It’s a meme.” Then as you walk off he’d just laugh to himself bc he actually did get it, he was just messing with you but you didn’t even realize. And yes, he would love you if you were a worm 😘

Jocelyn

Like Lincoln, Jocelyn would have so many questions, except she's genuinely confused. Why would you be a worm. In this scenario are you both worms? Were you always a worm or are you a human who got turned into a worm? Is this a universe where people can spontaneously turn into worms? Would worm-you know who Jocelyn is? Would Jocelyn know who worm-you is? Then, after several minutes (or maybe days) of consideration, Jocelyn would very solemnly break down exactly in which circumstances she would love you if you were a worm (any situation that involves you being mentally human in some capacity) and in which circumstances she wouldn't (if you were actually just a regular worm and she didn't know about you).

Amalia

"No" in a completely deadpan voice. Then, as you gasp in offence, she'd grin at you and say something like, "What do you think, dork? Of course I'd love you, no matter how wiggly your body is or how outdated your memes are." You can't tell me Amalia isn't a meme queen.

✦ Raeya: Would genuinely find it amazing. Useful for combat, too!

✦ Gael: oOoooHh to draw / paint / sculpt the MC in a "folded like a pretzel but make it beautiful" pose.....

✦ Envy: Don't do that. STOP CONTORTING. NO. IT'S GROSS. DON'T PUT YOUR FEET BEHIND YOUR HEAD YOU WEIRDO. *unholy screeching*

✦ Ara: She would beg the MC to help her gain more flexibility so they could harass Envy together as a family quality time activity

✦ Xal: Unholy thoughts that are NOT in line with the teachings of the Bible v.2 + damn the MC is cool as hell and he's one lucky loser

✦ Father Pride: A mix between Envy and Raeya. He's in awe at the MC's flexibility but also a little grossed out by some of the...things they can do. But he's a gentleman so he would never say that :^)

✦ Lázaro: They're quite flexible too because of reasons so they'd be like "let's be pretzels together 💜"

✦ Gael + Xal dynamic!

Gael and Xal understand each other pretty well because their personalities are similar. As the older brother, Gael knows Xal is an introverted soul that needs space and someone who respects his boundaries even if he hasn't explicitly stated them. They both struggle doing that so they know when the other doesn't want something even if they don't say it out loud.

Even if they have good intentions, Amon and Ara try to break Xal out of his shell way too eagerly sometimes without stopping to consider his needs and wants. Xal needs time to socially recharge and Gael is just there for him, happy to let Xal set the pace. Not asking "why" or "why not", not judging—inviting him to parties just in case he wants to attend, as a way of showing Gael thinks of him, but respecting that Xal may want to just stay in his workshop and encouraging him to remember he can say no, at least to him.

Both are also very artistic and crafty and understand how much the time they spend on that means to them. Gael always asks Xal about his projects and gives him room to speak if he wants to. He also knows that Xal not reaching out doesn't mean he loves him any less; not talking every day doesn't mean he doesn't think about him.

On the other hand, Xal admires how Gael can put up with everything thrown at him and still remain kind and cherish his own softness that some people think of as a weakness. He feels safe in his company and the calmness Gael radiates is comforting and makes him feel like everything's gonna be okay. He's also less noisy than Ara and Amon and has no problem hanging out with Xal in silence, each doing their own thing, sharing the moment without the need to be actively interacting with one another.

You could say Gael and Xal are each other's safe place. That doesn't mean they like everything about each other! Xal's frequently bothered by how much Gael cares about hair and clothes being absolutely perfect, and Gael has trouble restraining from fixing Xal's attire and hair every two seconds and thinks he could care a little more about his looks. Even so, Gael is the one who designed Xal's clothes for him, using the references Xal had of the human world and the techwear aesthetic!
