start.
there was once an urban legend - that a fairy is going rounds looking for a loveless individual in hopes to retrieve his broken heart.
the legend goes,
a man, so full of love and so full of hope, couldn’t contain his feelings for the person he loved the most. and so he poured his heart on to crafts dedicated for that person. a thousand star origamis folded with the most delicate hands to convey what is hidden for the longest time. every night, he would wish upon the star to have his love reciprocated. to have his efforts mean something. and for the mean time, he would wish the stars would send his love to the person in the form of hush winds that would lull them to sleep until he was ready to convey his feelings himself.
but when he was ready to pour his love, the person didn’t bother catching even a pinch of it. he let it flow and left the man with nothing.
the man was so mad. so heartbroken, he cursed the stars for his unrequited love. he threw his craft and stepped on it. he threw stones into the air in the direction of the stars. he was furious. he thought the stars was on his side all this time. they weren’t. the man accused them of laughing at him while he innocently just... loved. he said the most vile things to the shiny lights decorating the sky. and this went on and on for the longest time the man could remember.
his rage was heard. the stars were hurt. and so they went to the man and gave him what he has to know in the form of a curse.
“lee felix. love is beautiful and it can also be painful, but the most important thing is you love because you love. you give things with love not for love. love is never selfish. you shouldn’t be.”
and so the crumpled and deformed stars the man made floated through the air. they danced around him, leaving glitters on their trail, and when they were finally in front of his face they disappeared with only the marks it left on his face like the stars spilled on his face as the evidence it was ever there — a reminder of his new mission.
felix is left wandering around the world looking for someone who mistook love the way he did. he’s supposed to help this someone grow and see love how it is supposed to be.
he found you.
so full of rage and resentment for how many times your heart has been broken.
it was hard teaching you especially that he found you when you were at the point of unloving yourself because all you see is your mistakes they tell you. but it was a pleasure for him, nonetheless. it was so fulfilling seeing the light in your eyes come back gradually.
this is where love gets funny.
you could only guess what the fairy who was always by your side, wiping your tears away and singing you to sleep, felt for you.
could you guess?
end.
