It was strange to return to a life left behind. After so many years, after so much trouble, it seemed fruitless to once again walk the streets of Lucifer Falls. So much had changed and yet all remained the same. But as the weeks went by, life continued, and slowly but surely Agnes Henson regained a sense of what once was home.Â
She had taken up the habbit of daily walks, simply to escape the confinement of a home that grew rather crowded with five young women and her brother residing over them all. She enjoyed the fresh air, something that had been part of her life for so many months and was now almost lost to her. Her mind lost in thoughts of the past she saw the only person only when it was almost too late. A smile played upon her lips as she avoided running into the figure before her by barely a step.Â
“Good day to you”, Agnes greeted, “Forgive me, I am usually not the one to stand in the way of others, but I did not see you at all”Â
