ִֶָ tea shop with Levi ☕︎ ִֶָ 𓂃

Concept: You and Levi open a small tea shop after the war
After the war, when you and Levi finally settled, an idea of owning a tea shop would casually be thrown in your conversations until it became reality. You both decided it'd be nice to keep yourselves busy with something.
Initially the only role of the shop was to sell tea in bags, sometimes brew the tea for the customers to try. But eventually it became a place where people gathered, seeking company and peace and so it grew into something more.
You two would work four days a week, the other three meant just for the two of you and maintaining your peace.
slow opening: At first, the shop barely gets customers, but word spreads that the tea is exceptional and the atmosphere comforting.
a place of safety: After years of chaos, the tea shop becomes a haven for war veterans, widows, and orphans — not just for tea, but for the quiet understanding Levi offers without words.
- a jar on the counter, not for tips but to collect coins to rebuild a war-torn village and help the victims.
- your shop offers free tea to veterans or anyone clearly exhausted or lost.
special touches:
- Signature tea blends named after a fallen comrade or a personal memory.
- You two would keep small framed portrait sketches of your lost comrades by the register, no one comments on it, but every regular knows its significance.
- Levi keeps a shelf of books, all neatly categorized: history, strategy, botany, and poetry.
Interactions with clients & work habits:
- Levi would be rather grumpy at the first look, but he secretly enjoys watching customers savor their tea.
- He’s intimidating at first to customers but softens for regulars.
- You tease him for that grumpiness of his when it comes to customers but you know he listens to every word they say.
- His demeanor contrasts with your warmer, more chatty nature — customers learn to love both sides of the owners.
- He'd occasionally leave little notes on the counter: “Enjoy your tea.”
- He hates waste ー tea leaves are reused carefully, and leftover tea is saved for staff tastings.
- Levi handles the brewing, pouring, and cleaning by himself — precision is key. Even then you help him out, whether he wants or not ー you can't let him overwork himself with his injuries.
a day from work
𓏲 opening rituals
- Levi wakes first and walks to the shop before sunrise. He wipes down every counter, arranges cups, and checks tea leaves for freshness.
- You shortly after, bring a small breakfast — toast or a pastry. You exchange minimal words, but Levi’s subtle nod is enough.
- First pot of tea is brewed in silence. Steam curls over dark wood, and the quiet of early morning feels almost like a sacred ritual making a day better.
𓏲 first customers
- Levi pours tea with exacting precision. Customers comment on the perfect temperature and clarity.
- You chat warmly with newcomers, explaining the teas and offering small treats. You handle the orders, greeting everyone by name if possible.
- You two share a quiet glance across the counter when a regular’s day seems particularly rough — Levi silently adds a small note: “Hope today gets better.”
𓏲 calm hours
- Levi sits with customers when asked ー some really admire him, ask about health, past stories or wedding date.
- You experiment with new blends, sometimes with Levi’s reluctant approval. He’ll taste-test a cup, nod slightly, and say, “Not bad.” Even though sometimes it's really bad.
𓏲 evening closure
- customers thin out, Levi begins meticulous cleanup. Every cup is washed, every table wiped.
- You set a small tray of your favorite pastries and tea for just the two of you.
- You sit quietly, sipping tea, legs occasionally brushing under the table, little strokes on the palm of your hand, your fingertips brushing off his soft strands, small gestures that speak volumes.
