Title: The Retrieval Job Fandom: Leverage Pairings: Gen (though with some Nate/Sophie and Hardison/Parker, and pre-Hardison/Parker/Eliot) Word Count: 20,000 words Content Warnings: This is pretty dark and involves violence and fucked-up sexual power dynamics, but most of the darkness wouldn’t be out of place in your typical Leverage episode and the sex is brief and off-screen (it’s only alluded to).

Summary: Instead of taking out Moreau’s men in a blaze of glory, Eliot offers himself in exchange for the team’s safety. Now, months later, the team will have to pull their greatest con in order to get their hitter back.

What is the bang?

An opportunity for writers and artists to come together and make fanworks celebrating the show Leverage. This bang has both big- and mini-bang options. Check out the requirements and details below.

How does it work?

Writers and artists sign up to participate. Sign ups open August 1st. Authors begin work on their stories and submit a draft/summary by October 6th. Titles, warnings, and summaries will then be posted for artists to claim. Claims will work on a first come first serve basis, and once artists and writers have been matched up creators can begin collaborating. Final works are due November 24th and posting will begin in December.

Basic Rules:

Check ins are mandatory. If you miss a check-in, you have 48 hours to email the mods, or you will be disqualified.

Works cannot be posted before the official post date. This means both that they must be new (previously unpublished) works and that they cannot be released early.

Any (or no) pairing is acceptable so long as the main focus of the story revolves around canon Leverage characters.

Any rating is acceptable.

All appropriate warnings and tags must be used for both the summary/draft submission and the final post.

Summary: Hardison, Parker, Nate, and Sophie have managed to successfully run Leverage, Inc. on their own, for three years running now. But when the bullet meant for a mark strikes a little too close to home, and outside pressures start threatening the team, they decide to split up, to lay low, running from both the Italian’s threats and Moreau’s attention. Nate and Sophie head out to provide a moving target, Hardison and Parker disappear into the countryside to the very last place anyone would think to look for them. And, just their luck, the neighbor’s even weirder than they are.

Artists will receive their information to the slack team after claims are complete, in order to preserve some anonymity for claims.

You are in no way obligated to participate in the slack. It is there for support, cheerleading, and just for fun. There will be some locked channels, such as an artist exclusive channel and an author exclusive channel, a beta-matckmaking channel to facilitate those looking to offer or receive beta services, as well as many other channels for whatever. There is also an #askthemods channel that will provide participants with another avenue for asking questions and voicing concerns (in addition to leaving an ask here on tumblr or dropping us an email at [email protected]).
