How come no one talks about leucisim? Its always albinism this or albino that, most people will end up assuming animals with leucisim are albino and that kinda upsets me... because while everyone is trying to get a hold of albino animals because of their white fur/feather/scales/whatever(I'm just gonna say coat for faster spelling) they completely over look how beautiful leuistic animals are! Plus they are softer because the lack of melanin makes their coat that way. Albino animals tend to have health issues, like blindness and a shorter life span, meanwhile leuistic animals are perfectly healthy.
Heres a photo of my schools chicken that hatched white, compared to her siblings, and instead of getting speckled, stayed white minus a few black feathers (ignore the top hat), her name is Indy.
Animals with leucisim will also have paler skin and their eyes will still be black.
