Adora sighed, moving away from the window at back to her desk. It was clear the child wouldn’t be leaving her rooms anytime soon, nor would her mother let her out of her sight. She certainly hadn’t meant to frighten anyone, it wasn’t as if she and Elias were going to jump from the castle wall. The children, after noting how bigger birds were able to fly, had worked on not one but two different pairs of wings, to see if they might be able to accomplish such feats themselves. They weren’t ready for take off yet, they simply wanted to see how they’d hold up in a strong wind. Oh! the little girl had gotten a good scolding that evening, how could she be so reckless, and irresponsible? No matter the reason Adora was not under any circumstance to be up on the castle walls she knew that... needless to say the princess had been confined to her rooms, with her mother as her warden.
“Is Papa still cross with me?” She ventured to ask, pouring back over her school book. She’d never seen her father so pale before, nor her mother for that matter. The Queen had practically been shaking as she’d held her once the children had come down yesterday.
