Ronnie Spector was a trailblazing artist who won't be forgotten 🌸🌺 and the spirit of her music has reverberated with so many audiences, especially during the 1960s as youth worldwide began forming identities & cultures of their own, facing backlash from parents, priests & politicians (and partners). Check out artists like Las Hermanas Benitez from Cuba ("Tú Serás Mi Baby") and Les Surfs from Madagascar ("Reviens Vite et Oublie" and "Je Te Pardonne") for some great covers of The Ronettes. There's a misleading video on youtube claiming that the singer in this video is Oprah Winfrey at age 17. That is false. This is a 60s pop group from Madagascar named Les Surfs, and they made this super catchy ditty that I can't get out of my head. Bon apetite!
